Yeah the nose on the hops is for real. Sweet orange zest, earthy, zippy hops. The lacing is sticky and the head is pronounced. The taste finishes malty and not too dry. On the palate it’s a little dry after the beer has left the palate. Overall this is a pretty nice beer. I will pick up again. Drank this one from the bottle. I had this on tap at the Tap House. I was blasted with an up front orange and tropical fruit bouquet that was matched in intensity by the taste. There is enough of a malt background to really hold this beer together. This is a very tasty beer. brewsconsin (11) - - JAN 21, 2013
What I really like about this beer is that it is out of Sprecher’s normal mode of traditional or German-style brews. It is completely unlike the rest of their brand and even comes in a different bottle.
Citra Bomb has a strong malt backbone with a moderately high level of bitterness. Good hop flavor with decent aroma really make the beer fit the IPA style, though it is kind of a tweener between IPA and Imperia and I am not sure the hos came through as much in the aroma as I would expect for 100lbs.
At $6.99/bomber it might be a little much for me to buy again anytime soon, but I am glad to see Sprecher putting out some new and fun stuff. Beerman6686 (6607) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 10, 2013
This one poured a bubly golden yellow with a white head. Aroam was of lots of citra and light caramel. Flavor was similar, not over ther top bitter, but nice fruity and tropical citra goodnes. Not sure where all these bad ratings are coming from. ttroha (516) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - APR 26, 2015
Tap at Hop City Birmingham. Pours yellow with a white head. Aroma of citrus and caramel. Tastes of bitter citrus and tropical fruits. Bitter aftertaste. Decent beer

Amber with a half finger quickly fading taupe head. Aroma of citrus, caramel, bready malts, floral hops and vegetal notes. Taste is sweet and vegetal with citrus and floral fresh hops. Finishes mildly bitter with a touch of alcohol. Not bad... for Sprecher dwm1034 (785) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JAN 11, 2014
DRAFT at Sprechers in Lake Geneva. Pours a hazy orange with one finger head. Strong hop nose...pine / citrus immediately jump from the glass...generally pleasant but the bite of the initial taste is a little much. Mellows as it warms. Positive overall...will do another.

Bomber from Ray’s in Tosa. Pours a coppery orange with a foamy white head leaving nice lacing. Aroma has dank malts and faint fruit. Taste is of bitter citrus, pale malts, some sugar and some earthiness. Thick and rough. Finishes dank and bitter with some sweetness. There is some simcoe, but not getting any citra - should’ve done an additional dry hopping - and not significantly different than their iipa. bigtelephone (1) - - FEB 10, 2013 does not count
A great taste of hops with a citrus after taste. Amazing color and a great beer to share over a nice long meal or a fire. Ratman197 (15228) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - MAR 13, 2013
Bomber poured a hazy amber with a lingering ring of amber foam. Aromas of grapefruit, orange zest, pine, carmel and light tangerine. Palate was medium bodied and crisp with a smooth dry finish. Flavors of carmel, earthiness, grapefruit, orange zest and a hint of pine with a smooth dry lingering bitter grapefruit finish.
