Wax-top bomber. Opaque black with a lasting chocolate head. Big vanilla, whiskey, chocolate and oak nose. Flavor is chocolate, vanilla, tingly bourbon and dried wood. Heavy body is smooth and sticky. Nice dessert beer. 13mikey (503) - New Hope, Minnesota, USA - AUG 24, 2010
Liter bottle from Princeton’s #9349 on the bottle. Black pour with a two finger tan head. Sweet oaky aroma with a bit of boozy bourbon to it. Very sweet flavor with pronounced notes of oak. Medium mouthfeel, tangy finish. Not bad at all but a bit thin and a touch too sweet. I’d drink it again, not sure if I’d buy it again. anders37 (26625) - Malmö, SWEDEN - APR 26, 2010
Bottle. Pours a black color with a small tan head. Has a roasted malty chocolate and licorice aroma with bourbon hints. Sweetish malty roasted chocolate and licorice flavor. Has a roasted malty malty chocolate finish with hints of bourbon in the aftertaste. sunnyridge (222) - USA - APR 11, 2010
Very dark brown/black, head fades to a ring, color of motor oil. Aromas of Rich, Roasty, molasses, sweet malts, alcohol, bourbon sweetness.
Taste is big and so is the body- loadedith malts, a grape sweetness, slightly metallic in the finish though, bourbon flavor/ oak from the barrel, and sweet coffee flavor, with no bitterness.

Pours deep black with brown head, big bourbon nose with some chocolate notes. Taste up front is big bourbon, leading into some chocolate and coffee notes that finishes sweet. Not a bad BBL RIS, but a bit overkill on the bourbon flavor.

Bottle to snifter. Pour is deep black brown with frothy but thin head that dissapates. Solid lacing that lasts. Smells of bourbon chocolate molasses and vanilla and scents of coffee. Taste bitter and I felt it was very bitter boozy and dry finish although there were some coco flavors as well. Palate medium feel and lively booze on swallow. I am very glad that I was able to try this, but we probably skip next time around. Ungstrup (37581) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - JAN 25, 2010
Bottled. A pitch black beer with a dark brown head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, over ripe fruits as well as lighter notes of bourbon. The flavor is sweet with notes of alcohol, bourbon, late summer fruits that are very sweet, and malt, leading to a dry fruity finish. The alcohol is a bit too pronounced for my taste. Thanks KimJohansen for sharing. yespr (45446) - Copenhagen O, DENMARK - JAN 11, 2010
