this pours a medium brown color with not too much of a head. The aroma is very malty. The flavor is very well balanced with a delicious toasted, malt flavor and a bit of carbonation to give it some volume. Overall very nicely made. GTAEgeek (2217) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - AUG 19, 2013
12 oz. bottle. Dark, ruby brown color, with a small, vanishing, off-white head. The aroma is rye, black bread, caramel, juniper, and light hop bitterness. Very sweet up front, with a good bitterness in the finish. Medium body, spicy, and chalky. Overall, this is a pretty good beer, but I’d expect more from a doppelbock. drowland (8676) - Georgia, USA - AUG 2, 2013
8/2/13. 12oz bottle at Bleu Pub. Deep amber brown pour with basically no head whatsoever. Deep caramel, some bread, and a bit of toast on the aroma. Lightly sweet toasted caramel flavor, some nuttiness, a hint at dark fruits. Not bad. beerbaaron (1998) - Arizona, USA - JUL 20, 2013
Clear ruby brown; thin ring of off-white head. Aroma is really nice sweetish roasted malt, caramel, touch of dark fruit. Flavor follows aroma; great malt profile. Medium body, not alot going on on the palate. Tasty and very drinkable. I’d have another. MarinEvelyn (854) - Wisconsin, USA - JUL 20, 2013

Bottle at Dells location. Really a tasty and easy drinking dopplebock. Tons of sweeter caramel and molasses notes but not cloying. Well made. SSSteve (4006) - - MAR 3, 2013
bottle. clear brown with ruby highlights and almost no head. malty, plummy aroma. medium bodied, moderate to low carbonation, chewy, smooth, sticky palate. dark fruit (raisin, prune) flavors with toast and caramel. later notes of chocolate. a sessionable dopplebock to me. Bottle. Reddish brown pour, fairly clear for the deep color. Smaller white head. Bold malt in this - slightly sweet caramel. A little roasty as well. This is a well made beer. Cybercat (5834) - Georgia, USA - FEB 13, 2013
Strong, malty aroma has a robust overtone of caramel with just a hint of cloves. Pours a somewhat translucent sepia with an average light tan head. Hearty flavor has malty, caramel, clove, nutty and earthy notes. Smooth, firm texture has a decent fizz and leaves a malty, slightly sweet finish. Not ba-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-ad at all.
