Dark amber pour with white head. Aroma of caramel and citrus. There’s a sweetness to it. Flavor is light. Sweet upfront with a Belgian yeast and bready finish. rubbishystuff (2521) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - AUG 5, 2010
UPDATED: APR 8, 2016 Beer of the month club selection. Not my favorite of the Sprecher products. This is a OK beer just nothing to get very excited about. Serving: Bottle notalush (5866) - Denver, Colorado, USA - MAY 30, 2010
12 oz bottle from the brewery - a boring but inoffensive d-weizen - fairly dry in the nose, with notes of cocoa, nuts, yeast - watery texture, light flavor - tastes mostly of yeast and moderate dark malts - however, there are some more complex notes of cherry, chocolate, and raisin waaaaaay in the back that make things a bit more interesting - no flaws, just bland. dmac (6205) - Toms River, New Jersey, USA - APR 28, 2010
12 oz bottle from a coworker. Poured a muddy milk chocolate brown with a smaller off white slightly foamy head. Aroma was pretty good at first, grassy, wheat, chocolate and bubblegum. However once this one started warming even slightly some sour milk and old cheese notes started creeping in. The body was pleasant, fuller and creamy with lively carbonation. The flavor was bad to say the least....wet grass, spoiled chocolate, bad cheese and other various spoiled bad items. Ugh, why is this in a beer of the month club when this shouldn’t even be the beer of the minute.

4/19/10. 12oz bottle (when did they start this? I toured the place a bit back and they had a 16oz bottling line?) courtesy Cavie poured into a pint glass. The pour is cloudy amber with a small off-white head that disappears fast. The aroma is banana and bubblegum with some caramel malt. The flavor is relatively bland with some of the same aroma but with soft wheat, hard water, and bitter roasted malts. Not terrible, not great. skoll (420) - Traverse City, Michigan, USA - APR 5, 2010
12 oz from beer of the month club. Nut brown color with a slight haze and a thick, light brown head. Aroma is crisp wheat with a fruity sweetness. Flavor is spicy wheat with an earthy herbal background. Medium bodied with a short, spicy finish. Very nice. I am used to drinking spricher rootbeer and this is a treat to drink their beer.

Aroma - slightly sweet, tangy, mild fruit;
Appearance - dark hazy brown, opaque, very thick head, poor lacing;
Taste - light malt front, somewhat fruity back, faint hints of spice in the finish;
Palate - smooth, average body;
Overall - not a brew I’d hunt for though decent in most aspects. Fratto (2845) - Arlington, Texas, USA - MAR 9, 2010
Bottle from Cavie. Brown pour with a white head. Aroma is dark fruit, sweet malts, and grapes. Taste is malts and wine.
