Deep black opaque pour that produces a quickly falling tan head.
Rich roast malt aroma.
Slight roast malt bitterness in the flavor that’s accompanied by a slight sourness that detracts a bit. daknole (11048) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - DEC 30, 2010
Dark pour. Big fluffy tan head. Aroma of lactose, raspberry jam and chocolate. Flavor is much the same. Nice lactose flavor some light roast. alobar (3966) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 19, 2010
Dark brown color with a thin tan rim. Decent lacing with a strong raspberry aroma with hints of chocolate. Raspberry-chocolate flavor with a touch of caramel. Quite sweet and fruity. Better than expected. AWISLguy (3419) - Wisconsin, USA - DEC 12, 2010
Sample at the brewery. Pours a dark brown with little head. Aroma was a weak chocolate and another odor that I could not identify - a slight fruitiness, but not in a pleasant way. Taste was a weak raspberry chocolate, some roasted malt. Not unpleasant to drink despite the confusing aroma, although thinner than I would like from a porter. dekester1 (371) - Town of Maple Creek, Wisconsin, USA - OCT 9, 2010
On tap @ Sprecher. Nice dark appearence with a decent head that faded to a thick lace. Aroma of malts with some very light sweetness and roasted character. Taste of mainly of barley malt with hints of chocolate and very light fruit. Mouthfeel was nice. Overall, a decent brew that will be worth re-visiting at a later date.

Pours an opaque black with a very large creamy tan head. Nose is mostly raspberry. Very creamy on the palate. Taste is defintely of a dessert beer - raspberry, chocolate and malt. Mild and slighty sweet on the finish. A standalone beverage or try serving it with raspberries or other fruit. SledgeJr (3577) - Omaha, Nebraska, USA - JAN 16, 2010
In the bottle from Beertopia. Pours black with red hues and a thin ecru colored head. This has a huge raspberry aroma. Smells like a raspberry cheesecake in a glass. Chocolate flavor. Thin in body, but it works quite well for this beer. Raspberry up front followed by chocolate flavors. Even without the raspberry, this would be a good porter. kitschy (326) - Nebraska, USA - JAN 16, 2010
Cola color. I snagged the last tablespoon at the SOB January tasting. Aroma seems like milk chocolate, hazelnut and raspberry cream. Very tasty beer, I think it should be the over-21 Easter basket treat of choice. Tastes like chocolate and raspberry creme. Yum!! Miksu (5052) - Jyväskylä, FINLAND - JAN 10, 2010
Bottled at Monk’s Café Wallingatan, Stockholm. Black color. Strong raspberry aroma, sweet and dessert wine like. The flavors of chocolate and raspberry. Tastes very much like raspberry juice and too little porter. Rciesla (5607) - Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA - DEC 31, 2009
Bottle. Pours a black body with a tan head. Abundant raspberry notes escape while pouring the bottle. Chocolate covered raspberries, it has a decadent aroma. Creamy raspberry start with some minerals chocolate and a metallic y note, not a roasted malt but metallic, dam i thought this was gonna blow my mind based on the aroma. Finishes quick but im just left with some copper tones in my mouth dam.
