3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
UPDATED: JUN 2, 2016 Thanks to Sean. Resiny-pine hops. Spicy finish. Full maltiness. Serving: Bottle
It does have the hop aroma, now if it only had the hop flavor. Plenty of bitterness and some malt to stand up to it. Body’s not bad. Long bitter finish. Kind of two dimensional. bookman10 (1298) - Osseo, Minnesota, USA - MAR 10, 2016
Pours a very cloudy yellow-orange with no head. Aroma is citrusy and almost a bit soapy. Flavor is a nice balance between sweet and hoppy. Oily mouthfeel and bitter finish. Strong contender. markas101 (2529) - Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA - DEC 20, 2015
Tap, restaurant, Wisconsin Dells. Citrus resin aroma, bright hops. Honey flavour, then lime hops and a long mild finish. Not sure it was a double ipa or not. Nice either way. Cousin_Larry (895) - - AUG 16, 2015
This is probably the best Sprecher brew I’ve had to date. Decent DIPA with a buttery caramel flavor. Malt is balanced with hops. It would be a 4.0 beer if the flavor was stronger - it’s a bit on the watery side. Itzjerm (3172) - Taft, Tennessee, USA - JUL 24, 2015
Aroma is under arms but the appearance is perfect. Taste is probably like licking an underarm after deodorant on... aromatic on the tongue bitter unpleasant. good on palate with some biting notes.
Overall not a dumper but not good.

Pours a clear copper color with a small white head that diminished pretty quickly. Average spotty lacing on the way down. The nose carries bread and caramel along with some light citrus and pine hops. Quite boozy as well. The flavor is mostly bready with a bit of hop flavor and also quite a bit of booze. The booze is finally balance in the mouthfeel with a pretty good amount of bitterness. Medium body with average carbonation and a dry finish. Decent enough, though not something I’d grab again. shrubber85 (11706) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - JUL 9, 2015
Draft. Tangerine malt and grapefruit peel aroma. Golden yellow with small head. Sweet orange malt and moderately strong grapefruit peel flavor. Nice balance. DialSquare (5186) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - JUN 21, 2015
12oz bottle from Kroger in Grandview: copper orange pour with thin white head. aroma of sweet candy caramel, grapefruit. tastes are grassy, floral, tinny, spice, caramel malts, citrus. fairly aggressive bitter - but evenly. little dry. oily medium palate. rondphoto (4508) - Lakeside Park, Kentucky, USA - MAR 1, 2015
bottle @ Jungle Jim’s / Eastgate OH --- Hazy amber brown color, solid rocky 2" ivory head, globs and streaks of lace. Aroma of malt and hops. Taste is somewhat sweet malt that adds strong floral hops on the swallow, both parts moving through a medium finish. Sprecher’s claim of "massive" hop bitterness isn’t backed up by the brew, but it is a solid traditional IPA. Drake (14332) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - FEB 3, 2015
Bottle shared at a tasting. Pours a hazy orange with a large frothy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of toffee, floral, citrus hops and pale malt. The taste is bitter citrus hops, pale malt. Thin bodied, astringent, lingering bitterness.
