12 oz bottle, courtesy Ughsmash. This one poured a clear, bright dark red color with a pink hue and topped by thousands of bubbles that form a small head. As the bubbles recede there isn’t much lace left behind. The aroma is pretty nice showing bright, tart cherries and other sweet-tart red berries, some earthiness from the yeast, and a touch of bretty funk. There is also a bit of lactic sourness in there too. The flavor follows and shows more of the tart cherries and sweet red berries with a hint of earthiness and brett funk in the background. It definitely smelled like it was going to be sour, but the residual sugars from the cherries and juice seemed to keep that in check. Also there wasn’t much from the brett to dry things or other lactic presence to add in the sourness. Medium bodied and well attenuated with good carbonation that leads to a tart cherry finish. This avoided the medicinal and artificial flavors that a lot of fruit beers fall prey to so that was a big plus. I didn’t have high hopes for this, but it surprised me with the fresh cherry flavor. Pretty good stuff as a fruit beer, but it is definitely not a lambic.
Pinkish amber color with a diminishing pink colored head. Certainly some cherries in the aromas surrounded with horseblanket and barnyard funk. I think the funk is finally working in this one. Door County cherries are certainly the highlight to this one. I’m sure this seems too sweet for some, but it is quite reminiscent of the cherries. Light brett and herbal notes. Acidity come out late. Actually quite a bit better than I expected. 2/21/12

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 11/23/2010. Pours slightly hazy/cloudy reddish orange color with a 2 finger fairly dense and fluffy light pink head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings on the glass, with a good amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of sweet/tart black cherry, lemon, grapefruit, green apple, hay, straw, musty funk, wheat, cracker, pepper, and yeast earthiness. Nice aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/funky/spicy yeast, cherries, and light-moderate pale malt notes; with good strength. Taste of sweet/tart black cherry, lemon, grapefruit, green apple, hay, straw, musty funk, wheat, cracker, pepper, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate fruit tartness and yeast spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of black cherry, lemon, grapefruit, green apple, hay, straw, musty funk, wheat, cracker, pepper, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a short bit. Good robustness, complexity, and balance of fruity/funky/spicy yeast, cherries, and light-moderate pale malt flavors; with a great malt/tart/spiciness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. High amount of dryness from carbonation and fruit acidity. High carbonation and light-medium bodied; with a very smooth, crisp, and lightly acidic/grainy/bready balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with zero warming present after the finish as expected of 5%. Overall this was a nice fruited wild ale style. All around good robustness, complexity, and balance of fruity/funky/spicy yeast, cherries, and light-moderate pale malt flavors; and very smooth, crisp, and easy to drink with the lighter acidity. I was expecting some lactic tartness, but the acidity only appears to be from the cherries. This was still nicely enjoyable; and had a nice amount of Brett complexity along with the cherry flavors. brokensail (16436) - Dublin, California, USA - APR 25, 2015
Bottle @ home. Hazed red pour with a pinkish-white head. Sour cherry pie nose. Some grass, a bit of spice, cherry candy, and lemon zest. The flavor is a lot of cherry pie. A bunch of lemon juice, some green apple, and cherry candy. A little sugary for my liking. MarinEvelyn (854) - Wisconsin, USA - MAR 28, 2014
Aroma-musty, a little cherry. A little footy. Yeast, a little sour.
Taste-cherry juice, a little tart, yeasty, a little funky, not my favorite. beerbaaron (1998) - Arizona, USA - MAR 28, 2014
Pours unclear dark reddish. Nice fizzy pinkish white head, dissipating. Aroma is sweet, fruity, funky. Cherry juice. Yeasty. Sour. Musty. Medium body. Slick. Yeasty and fruity. Very mild tartness. Light acidic. Finishes sweet dark cherry barnyard. Not a lot going on really. The nose promises more. Was interesting to try.

12 oz bottle from ledgers. It pours a hazy reddish pink color with an off white head. The aroma is surprisingly complex with cherry, funk and a nice mineral quality. The flavor is a bit more mild than the aroma with more funk and subdued cherry notes. Pretty well balanced between sweet cherries and sour funk. I was shocked by this one. Very good sour punch with significant cherry character without any hints of solvents or vinegar. Pretty damn good for $2.34 a bottle. I wish there was more. Bright pink color with a low, light pink head that fades very quickly. Lot of carbonation present in the brew. Aroma has a strong sour smell, mild cherry and not much else. Flavor has a good sourness up front, modest cherry sweetness/tartness in the middle but finishes with a good sourness. Very fizzy feeling, light body, slightly slick feeling on the tongue at the end. Overall a good lambic. I enjoyed the pure sour taste with only a slight hint of tartness and sourness from the fruit. I think I will try an find this one again. jtclockwork (16443) - , New Jersey, USA - NOV 7, 2013
Bottle at Max’s tasting. Pours pinkish red with pink head. Nose and taste of cherry juice, malt, light tartness and old cherries. Lighter medium body. Okay. tgncc (3130) - Bellmore, New York, USA - NOV 6, 2013
At Max’s tasting. Sour, tart cherry on nose. The appearance is cloudy red, white head. The flavor is sour, acidic, chalk, tart cherry. The finish is chalky, tart cherry. Medium in body. Not good, not bad. vtafro (7445) - Wayne, New Jersey, USA - NOV 6, 2013
Bottle. Ruby pour with beige head. Tart cherry and some sour aromas. Flavor doesn’t match aroma fruit or tartness but also not terrible.
