The bartender gave several folks samples. Most of us felt like this was a banana cider. The only person who liked a lot was a lady that was usually a chardonnay drinker, not a beer drinker.
For me, it was OK at best kiefdog (1827) - Tampa, Florida, USA - DEC 14, 2008
Bottle courtesy of Tony at Oldsmar Tap House. Pours a caramel hazy color with thin white head. Little retention or lacing. Aroma is paint thinner, green banana, eraser, band-aid. Flavor is sweet apple juice, banana, band-aid, soap, cider. Medium body with a quick, tart finish. Palidor19 (3193) - Brandon, Florida, USA - DEC 11, 2008
it does not have that taste that make this worthy, the aroma is nice banana, but the rest feels a bit unappealing with the some weak malts and tart like flavors. I cant recommend this one. nick76 (4402) - Tampa, Florida, USA - DEC 11, 2008
The aroma has fruit, bananas, yeast, malt, and grain. The appearance is hazy amber with a small but persistent head. The flavor is like the aroma and not good. The palate is smooth. Overall its really strange. nearbeer (5608) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - NOV 30, 2008
12 oz. Hazy, orange-amber with a lasting eighth-inch foam. Mild banana and caramel aroma. Front flavors of banana and apple cider are OK, but the harsh rum and lemon-lime finish is not. Light-medium body is tingly and dry. An extra overall point for the experimental effort.

16oz Bottle. Thanks Sean! Crazy nose. Pungent barleywine fruit. Phenolic, a touch rubbery and heavy on the bread yeast. It’s interesting how much this smells like really fruity yeast, but it’s probably just the banana juice. Interesting, actually. Not entirely smooth. Pours a shaded orange gold, with no head. Flavor is rather gross. Acerbic, biting, alcoholic and still full of bubblegum esters. Icky. Sweet. Rubbery. Alcoholic, needlessly at this abv. Gross. This is a disaster. St. Petersburg, Shep’s Deli - stubby 16 oz bottle. Pours a murky dark and dank orange with absolutely no head. Aroma of overripe bananas and Carbona carpet cleaner. Slightly odd flavor - obviously a gluten free product - but the flavor nowhere approximates the flavor of beer. Some scuppernog grapes, hint of bananas and an odd, rotten fruit finish. Slightly better than the Shakporo by the same brewer - but again, thank God that my body can process whatever it is they left out of this - cause I would be in a world of hurt if this is all I could drink. badlizard (5533) - Berkeley, California, USA - JUL 12, 2008
bottle from wholefoods. Copper brown with a fizzy head. Sweet and spicy aroma. Tart taste with some strange grainy and fruity tastes that don’t really work. Didn’t care for it. redlight (2325) - Orlando, Florida, USA - JUN 24, 2008
Banana peels, sorghum aromas, i can definitely tell this is a glutten free beer. Pours cloudy orange with a thin white head that doesn’t last long. Fruity, citrus like flavors, very cidery and thin mouth feel. Not horrible but i like my glutten! phishpond417 (2088) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - JUN 6, 2008
A very interesting beer indeed. Soft, sweet and a very tropical mouthfeel. Pours a orange body with a full fluffy white head. A wonderful aroma, tropical fruits and citrus on the nose.
