3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Another good offering from Sprecher. Aroma sweet and malty. Beer poured a copper/orange color. Flavor creamy, nutty(unique to me for an Oktoberfest), with some malt sweetness.
This was pretty good stuff, nice and thick palate, good strong caramel flavor. quite sweet upfront, gets mellowed out on the back side. Ill have to compare it to new glarus or sam adams Drake (13942) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - DEC 16, 2016
12 ounce bottle, 9/20/16. Clear dark strawberry red large fizzy tan head, fair retention. Aroma of toasted malt and caramel. The taste is toasted malt, caramel, berries, bits of earthiness. Thin, nearly flat. Strykzone (7422) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - NOV 29, 2016
12 ounce bottle. Coppery and hazy. A nice beige head. Just a little spice and plenty of fruit in the aroma. Feel is richer than most. Caramel flavor leads and it is akin to candy. A little fruit and sourness that is herbal, and then some grass. hershiser2 (3410) - Charlottesville, Virginia, USA - NOV 25, 2016
Bottle from total wine. Pours slight hazy Brian with an inch of beige head. Aroma of caramel mays and grasses. Taste is caramel malts. Nothing much else. Boring.

Labeled Oktoberfest 5.5%: Tea and pecan nose, honey and malt also present. Hazy tea colored, medium yellow head. Very sweet cane sugar, honey, and pecan. Some fusel alcohol. Light body, moderate carbonation. Drinkable, but cloying.

Light malt aroma with hints of fruit. Copper color with a medium head. Malty with a solid hop presence. Light to medium body with good carbonation. Clean finish. two7offsuit (448) - Massachusetts, USA - NOV 4, 2015
Pours reddish brown with an off white head. Malt aroma. Flavor is earthy with caramel. JDBaker11058 (2246) - Maryland, USA - OCT 25, 2015
appearance: clear coppery orange, with a finger of creamy beige head that shrinks to a collar; good curtains of bubbles linger. aroma: caramel, toffee, raspberry, cherry, toasted nuts. taste: very sweet caramel and toffee up front, then the fruitiness from the aroma comes through clearly; then comes a bit of earthy, almost herbal bitterness. finish: the malty, fruity sweetness comes back at the very end, but there’s also a hint of minerality that comes out. notes: This is a good oktoberfest. It’s a little rich and fruity for my preferences in the style, but it’s undeniably good. Only thing I wasn’t wild about was the slightly astringent, herbal minerality on the back end. hayduke (5571) - Eureka, California, USA - MAR 7, 2015
Bottle from a friend in Wisconsin. Pours pour from the 12o stuffy bottle red amber with an off-white head and decent lacing . Nose of rich roasted caramel malts. Medium body and very smooth lager mouthfeel. Flavor hows toffee and a bit of floral hoops., Finishes earth and dry, .A very nice Marzen in the German style. I liked this one a lot. rondphoto (4466) - Lakeside Park, Kentucky, USA - JAN 25, 2015
bottle @ Jungle Jim’s / Eastgate OH --- Clear amber brown color, beige head cover, streaks of lace. Taste is caramel toffee and malt that becomes more earthy and bitter on the swallow, then moves neatly to a lingering sweet finish. Nothing notable here, just as it should be: comfort beer for nippy autumn evenings.
