Clear medium brown pour with a fleeting off-white head.
Light malt aroma.
The flavor is well balanced but quite subdued. Not much sweetness, no real hop flavor or bitterness.
Session type brown ale. boozedude (2228) - Des Moines, Iowa, USA - AUG 18, 2013

Brownish amber. Medium frothy off-white head.
Caramel malty. Some toasty, maybe a touch-o-nut. Clean bitterness. Rather lightish body. A little dry. A ’pitcher’ beer. Cybercat (5743) - Georgia, USA - JUN 25, 2013
Pours a nice clear chestnut with a peep of gold at the bottom of the glass mug and a very thick, fine-bubbled, creamy pale tan head. Malty aroma has a yeasty overtone, not much else. Flavor, fortunately, is better than what the less-than-inspiring aroma promises, providing notes of roast malt, yeast and caramel plus more than hints of fruit and hops and a bready underpinning. Texture is fairly firm and fizzy. Belly up to one today. illiniphil (148) - Nashotah, Illinois, USA - JUN 23, 2013
16oz bottle bought at the Sprecher Brewery. Pours a slightly cloudy dark brown with a heavy creamy tan head that hangs around. Taste is caramel, malt and burnt sugar. Nice flavor from a solid English-style ale.

On tap at the Middleton brewpub - Pours copper with an off-white head. toasted bready malt with a bit of milkiness. Taste is the same--light, toasted bread, a little marmalade, and some subtle nuttiness. Pretty light-bodied with a bit of fizzy carbonation. Lemke10 (980) - Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA - JAN 23, 2013
This pub brown ale pour a medium dark brown color. It starts out with a heavy taste of malted barley. It has a very complex flavor but finishes very smoothly. Probably not going to be an award winner but still a good beer to try! jjkuck10 (66) - , Wisconsin, USA - JAN 2, 2013
