Bottle from backlog notes. Pours brown in color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have toasted malts, chocolate, earthy bitterness, a light nutty character, pretty basic brown and I will not revisit this again. markas101 (2530) - Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA - DEC 20, 2015
Tap, restaurant, Wisconsin Dells. Medium brown. Metallic caramel aroma. Balanced flavour, more caramel and faint hops. Solid offering. ganache (6089) - New Jersey, USA - SEP 14, 2015
Tap at Bainbridge BH. Beautiful dark mahogany with a short lacing beige head. Supremely fruity nose and in the mouth, lightly sticky with full malt, sticky medium body. Has some cola and root beer / syrupy character. Great Munich with dark caramel and excellent roast [toast], restrained hops, touch earth. Dries but stays sticky. Attenuated but still a rich treat, woody hops can assert themselves in the aftertaste. This is a toasty-fruity Northern Brown done right! Carlisle (865) - Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 25, 2014
Draft. Bronze color with tan head; some lacing. Toasted biscuit aroma. Malt and toasted biscuit with bitterness upfront. Smooth, malty finish.

Poured from the bottle into my trusty Samuel Adams glass. The pour produced a clear, caramel-colored body with very minimal foam. Mind you, the bottle was cold, and is currently being enjoyed at 41 degrees, so that might have something to do with the foam. Aroma is subtle, earthy with notes of caramel. The mouthfeel is light, with some malty sweetness, which is overpowered by a metallic aftertaste. Flavor improves as the beer warms, bringing out the sweetness of the malts.

Albany, Ga. - Warehouse Package Store - 16 oz bottle. Slightly murky, medium copper pour, little to no head. Aroma has some children’s vitamins essence, a touch of chocolate. Flavor is slightly mealy, some over-sweet chocolate notes, a bit of molasses, some metallic notes. Mouthfeel is thin and slightly metallic. Had much better from Sprecher. Murky brown. Sweet malt aroma, lightly roasted taste. Moderate hops in the finish. Not too exciting, not too offensive.
