Lively and spicey aroma. Getting a bit of that basement musk that comes with sprecher. Taste is mild bitter hops with a bit of fruit and malt. It’s kinda all over the place, yet still mild. Pretty dry. Interesting deyholla (12033) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - JUN 9, 2012
On tap at Mundelin beer fest. Pours a clear deep amber with a yellowish brown head that lasts throughout the beer. Aroma has a good amount of sweet grains with a hint of light grains. Flavor is sweet grains with backing sweet bread with not too much hoppiness. Skyview (6093) - Papoose Jct, Minnesota, USA - JUN 2, 2010
Sampled on draught at the 2010 Wisconsin Craft Beer Festival in Chilton, WI as Sprecher Chilton Choice. Pours a semi-clear copper colored brew with a thick off-white that leaves behind some nice lacing. Aroma of Munich malt, some floral hops and a hint of tropical fruit. Taste is medium bodied, with flavors of caramel and Munich malts, floral hops and a hint of spice. Finish is semi-dry with a mild bitterness that slowly disappears. twindadplus2 (732) - Wisconsin, USA - JUN 15, 2016
Murky dark amber color with a small firm head. Aroma is resiny hops and sweet caramel malt. Flavor is doughy malt at the very beginning followed quickly by a long hit of dry medicinal hops. Smooth and medium bodied with light carbonation and a quick dry finish. Very nice. arkurzynski (2456) - Combined Locks, Wisconsin, USA - MAR 13, 2012
On tap at the Barley Pop. Deep amber color with off-white head. Light toasted malt and caramel with faint generic hops. Flavor is initially light caramel which quickly fades to a moderate, dry, pine hop bitterness. Catching some off-buttery flavors in the beginning and a bit of plastic at the end. Overall, okay for a generic amber.

Amber with a mild floatie presence and a slowly fading tan head. Aroma is grainy with caramel, malt and mild hops. Taste of caramel, mild earth, perfumed malts and a mild herbal quality as well. FROTHINGSLOSH (8069) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 15, 2013
Sampled from a 22 oz brown bottle this beer poured an orange-amber color with a lots of minuscule floaters and a medium sized creamy orange-tan head that left decent lacing. The aroma was malty caramel, dark fruits and bread. The flavor was sweet and malty bread, caramel and faint vague fruits. Medium length sweet malty bread and fruit finish. Medium body and smooth. Pleasant. JPDIPSO (6262) - Wauwatosa, USA - JUL 10, 2016
Lightly hazed copper color with a moderate, but stable off-white head. Sweet, lightly toasted malt scents and just a hint of floral hops. Light carbonation. Mild malt and an increasing bitterness as it runs across the palate. A decent straight forward Irish red ale. 1/12

12oz bottle to tulip. Pours hazy red gold, white foam head. Aroma of caramel malts, citrus, bread. Taste of same with bitter pils like finish. Ughsmash (7508) - Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA - MAR 15, 2010
On tap at Sprecher. Poured crystal-clear coppery-amber with a short cap of off-white head. The aroma was on the sweeter side with toasted redder fruits and caramel leading.. touches of honey and vanilla accented.. sugary-sweet, but for the most part enjoyable. The flavor was sweet as well, again with the caramel and fruity notes.. peppery alcohol and crisp floral bitterness laced throughout.. prickly carbonation and spicy hops on the finish.. decent balance. Medium-bodied with lower-than-expected carbonation on the palate.. this tried to have a crisp feel, but the sweetness stuck in a few places.. OK flow.
