COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A delicate balance of toasted malt and fresh hops give this medium-bodied German style lager an intriguing complex flavor. A creamy head, deep golden color and an impressive hop bouquet make this a very special beer.

UPDATED: DEC 31, 2007 Bottle: The aroma consists of butterscotch, light fruit, and faint grain. It pours a transparent amber with a small off-white head. The flavor starts with a pretty intense sour fruitiness. The finish has faint notes of butterscotch and grain that struggle to get thru the sourness. Light-bodied with a slightly watery mouthfeel. Pretty rough.

Bottle (16oz). Slightly hazy rich amber pour, nice bubbling and a 2cm foamy beige head. Light, crisp aroma of mild fresh cereal grain, toasty caramel sweetness, and light herbal bitterness. The taste - well, Im disappointed; elements from the aroma, but mostly just bottle metallic harshness. Light body, somewhat undercarbonated, crisp-finishing, but that metal lingers, Im afraid, although it seems to fade as it warms and opens, leaving run-of-the-mill bland toasty grain and light herbal/grassy hop bitteness in its wake.

Orange-amber with a thin, off-white head. Aroma of crackers, a little caramel. Taste is strong breads, toast, malt... Caramel, a slight grassiness. Amazingly bready... Tasty.

A bright orange/amber in color with a thin head. Aroma of light citrus hops and perhaps some oranges. I guess it was a tad medicinal. The flavor had a clean hop bitterness and a bit of butter and semi-sweet medium colored malt. The malt flavor was hard to pinpoint for me. Finishes clean. It is a bit basic, but pleasant.

Amberish orange, smooth dense head. Bubbly carbonation. Smells bready, toasty, and slightly peppery. Mostly malty flavor - bready, touch of caramel. Maybe a little bit of a peppery finish. Pretty run of the mill.

Thanks to Cavie for sharing this bottle. Gold with a white head. Aroma is not too great. I get some grain notes as well as some dirt. Flavor is similar with grain and grass notes. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

(12oz bottle thanks to Cavie) clear amber pour with fine tan bubbles. Nose of sweet grain, toffee, a bit of trash, banana laffy taffy and peel, plus alcohol. Taste of old stale grain, banana, bit spicy, clove, and stale linger.

Pour light amber with medium carbonation in the beer, nice off white head that tapers down slowly. Rich creamy malt aroma with granola aspects. Medium body, very smooth, medium carbonation that is sharp on the finish. Taste mellow roasted malts that are very creamy with a touch of roastedness, there are some lightly spicy hops on the finish. This is very well put together. Generally I am not a fan of anything that says amber, this has much more body that I expected, lots of smoothness and well integrated flavors. Very nice job on this one.
