Dark, rich copper pour with vanishing small off-white head. Faint caramel malt nose with subtle citrus hints. Not getting the big bitter hop flavor I anticipated....dominated by sweet malt notes with mild bitter undertones. Smooth. Medium bodied. Fair brew.
Tap at the pub. Pours a clear reddish orange color. Frothy off-white head, tight bubbles. Moderate citrusy hop aroma. Moderate caramel malty sweetness. Flavor is citrus hops and lightly toasted malt. Some caramel sweetness. Well balanced. Bitter finish but remains soft.

Nice malt and hop balance. Perhaps some caramel on the back end. Good level of carbonation and quite full bodied thegreenrooster (4373) - St.louis, Missouri, USA - NOV 28, 2015
Pour is a red-ish with a small white head. Aroms has a definate hop presence with some heavy sweet malt. Flavor is a soild hop but also a oily malt that turns out to be not as sweet as I thought it would be. Finish is a decent malt and hop combo without one overpowering the other too much. Solid hoppy amber. beer_rookie (554) - Arkansas, USA - OCT 7, 2015
Pours a amber, and dare I say it, red color. It is quite pretty. About one finger ivory color head. Doesnít last long, but excellent lacing.Terminus (3679) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - AUG 21, 2015
Aroma is very hoppy. Some breadiness. Not a lot to say about the aroma. Itís hoppy....
Taste is hoppy, but man, itís good. Itís very hoppy, but not real bitter. Hop flavors are crazy in there; citrus, floral, piney. But itís not really bitter, itís not really sweet. Itís somewhat similar to an APA. Hard to desribe the taste. Bready, maybe some toffee.
Mouthfeel is good. Itís drinkable. Smooth and dry. Medium body. Finishes slightly bitter.
Overall, Iím not super fond of red ales but I could totally drink this anytime. This is well done.
pours deep amber hue with a small soapy eggshell head with sparse lacing. Nose is earthy minerals I guess are hops. Smells good actually but not as hop forward as I would like. Big earthy bitterness here lots of toasted malt. Like this but seems like a clone beer from the Rogue Hoppy Amber they usedto make. Lots of woody hops earthy and slightly metallic finish. All in all a solid brew for the style.

Clear, deep amber pour with an off-white head. The aroma is mildly spicy with floral hops and some malty bread. It has a medium body with somewhat sticky texture and average carbonation. The taste is mildly bitter with a dry finish. kdm1984 (814) - Missouri, USA - JAN 9, 2015
Sampled at Joplin Macadoodles Springfield Brewery tasting event, 1/9. Nicely balanced, hoppy red. Dryness brings out the hops nicely. Packs some flavor without being too heavy. Not quite a wower, but pretty well done. alexanderj (3605) - Branson, Missouri, USA - MAY 28, 2014
Bottle; poured an amber-auburn color with a khaki head. Aroma of alcohol, fruit, caramel, and some earth; a lot of fruit. Hoppy flavor for the style; earthy and fruity. Not much sweetness. Solid beer. jgentgesdo (694) - Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA - DEC 31, 2013
Pours clear amber with a thin off white head with good legs. Nose is intense floral and grapefruit hops. There are pine hops notes, cream, a little charcoal. Quite bitter with a malt backbone. Reminds me of very good homebrew. Seems dry hopped.
