Braudog (6939) - Yorktown, Virginia, USA - MAY 19, 2006
Draft samples at the St Louis Microfest, 5/13/06: Bright but still opaque yellow. Bit milky on the tongue. Wheaty flavors for sure. Bit mellow with a sweet malty finish. Bit cookie-ish for a wheat.

Doppelganger (1389) - Dry County, Arkansas, USA - NOV 26, 2005
Properly cloudy. Mild fruity/pear aroma and warm yeasties. Nice blend of fresh yeast and a surpising amount of toasty malt character, a nice extra layer of interest, and something that lots of wheat beers seem to miss. The ratings here make me wonder if the quality of this one varies batch to batch, or if it doesn’t survive bottling very well. I’ve just had it on tap at the brewpub, and it was quite good.

12oz bottle acquired in trade with beerhandy (thanks!). Bottle labeled ’Mueller Wheat’. Poured a light to medium and cloudy golden color with a smaller sized white head. Aromas of yeast, bananas, and some wheat. Has a funky, almost soggy grassiness to it. Tastes of wheat and lemon citrus. Funkiness is in the tates as well. I had some banana tasting burps with this one too. Lively and thinner body.

12 oz bottle labeled Mueller Wheat via trade with beerhandy - Purs cloudy golden with a half inch fluffy white head that laces a little. Aroma is of yeast, wheat, bannanas, and a bit of bubblegum. Flavor is yeast, dough, a bit of bubblegum and some lemon. Palate is light, airy, and not difficult to drink at all. Not all that bad just nothing outstanding either. average.

KAggie97 (3529) - Ugly, Hot, and Humid Spring, Texas, USA - OCT 15, 2005
GABF 05. Big dissappointment from a great brewer, based on the samples I have had thusfar. Pours a weak white and blurry yellow. Aroma is slight, most prominent is sour hops. Flavor is not there. Is this a light beer? Watery palate.

lizzy (44) - Saint Louis, Missouri, USA - JAN 2, 2005
pours cloudy yellow with pillowy white head on top. no real aroma to speak of, flavor is just like an average wheat beer. nothing special. good because it was free, definitely wouldn’t buy it.

sethdude (708) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - JAN 2, 2005
Pours a hazy gold color with a substantial head on top. Aroma is sweet, almost no hops note. Flavor is almost exclusively sweet wheat-malt, without much hopping or bitterness to speak of. This would be a great beer to transition a BMC drinker with.

Pjones6738 (500) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - DEC 15, 2004
Bottled. Very pale yellow, slightly cloudy, thin white head. Yeasty aroma. The promised bitterness is there, but unfortunately not much else. Very bland.

TheDean (786) - MIlwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - SEP 23, 2004
The wheat kick continues. This one is made better with a little lemon, but is also good solo.

hennes (934) - Fountain, Michigan, USA - APR 2, 2004
Really sharp and challenging but dramatically overcarbonated so that the lemon fizz effect was disquieting. Once I let it settle down, the flavors settled into submission and were fine wheaty stuff. But the opening jangle is disturbing and it has some of the brewpub thinness that can characterize these palces.
