12oz bottle acquired in trade with beerhandy (thanks!). Bottle labeled ’Mueller Wheat’. Poured a light to medium and cloudy golden color with a smaller sized white head. Aromas of yeast, bananas, and some wheat. Has a funky, almost soggy grassiness to it. Tastes of wheat and lemon citrus. Funkiness is in the tates as well. I had some banana tasting burps with this one too. Lively and thinner body.

on tap-pours a white head and cloudy straw yellow color. Aroma is mild wheat. Taste is wheat, citrus-lemon, spice. Plenty of effervescence.

hopscotch (11236) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - AUG 18, 2009
Draft… Murky, straw-colored ale with a mid-sized, creamy, long-lasting, white head. The nose is mostly nondescript, but I am finally able to pull some grainy, mashy notes from the glass. Light to medium-bodied with fizzy carbonation. The flavor is light, brisk and hoppy (moderately bitter). Finishes crisp with a nice hop bite.

3fourths (9358) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - DEC 1, 2003
Very bright and soft cloudy yellow with a huge foamy white head. The perfect look for a hefeweizen. Almost no aroma, just some yeast. Soapy flavor and texture, some mild citrus. Overall it's just mild like the others from Springfield, a bit grassy, and slightly bland.

jackl (8423) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - AUG 1, 2014
Keg @ Springfield. Hazy light yellow with a tight eggshell white head. Pretty bready nose. Wonder Bread, slight herbal hop and white pear. Taste is pretty similar. Very bready, sort of heavy. Strong carbonation. Pretty flavorless, inoffensive. Meh.

Strykzone (7657) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - JUN 23, 2008
Typical wheat appearance. Lacing is very nice and sticky. Aroma was difficult to find but wheat was present. I found this to be a surprisingly dry beer and even somewhat bitter. Unfortunately it also had the taste of soap and chemical. Well below average and disappointing.

AmEricanbrew (6954) - Same Trailer, Different Park, Louisiana, USA - JAN 4, 2009
Hazy golden with a white head. Mild tart wheat, spicy aromas. Medium body. Taste is tart wheat with dusty pale malts. Mild dry spices in the finish. Summertime beer.

Braudog (6834) - Yorktown, Virginia, USA - MAY 19, 2006
Draft samples at the St Louis Microfest, 5/13/06: Bright but still opaque yellow. Bit milky on the tongue. Wheaty flavors for sure. Bit mellow with a sweet malty finish. Bit cookie-ish for a wheat.

Tap at the brewpub. The body was a hazy greenish tinted Crayola yellow with a white head. The aroma was light bananas with some light tropical mango. The taste was typical American Wheat with banana peels and a clove spice finish. It is ok for the style.

Light and sessionable, though the overall flavor experience was subpar. Has a light grassyness that turns to stale hay at the end. Tried at the brewery in 2014.
