500ml Bottle. This pours a tightly laced medium head of medium duration: slightly off white over a light golden body. Its aroma is weak but of citrus fruits and honey with a slight malt biscuit undertone. It tastes malty with a medium blast of orange before edging towards a hoppy bitter finish but that is surpassed by a sweet honey end. A decent enough honey ale this - not sure its a blond in anything else but colour tho.

Cask at GBBF 2009. (Backlog / historic rating from old records. NO tasting notes except "Rather disappointing.") (Backlog)

This was a bit disappointing for flagship brew. The aroma is quite rich, but difficult to place - a bit of resin and skunk. It has a clear orange/amber appearance with no head to speak of. The taste is a little salty, and sweeter than I prefer for an IPA and the palate a bit flat and oily. It is quite bitter, but lacks the freshness of a really decent IPA. I won't be seeking this one out again.

Butelka 500ml. Bursztynowa barwa . Piana biala, srednia o lekko kremowej konsystencji. Aromat biszkoptow ,ciastek, miodu i pieczywa w te majacza cytrusy lecz malo wyczuwalne. W smaku owocowe tony. Troche mango i marakuji lecz ogolne wrazenie jest bardziej kwiatowo-miodowe. Slodkie. Niska karbonacja przypomina mi troche Perle miodowa...bez gazu. Na finiszu ciastka i lekka goryczka.

Barwa jasna bursztyn. Piana niska bardzo szybko opadajaca. Aromat chlebowy troszke dziwny jak na IPA w tle troszke owocow. Smak slodowy z lekka goryczka. Piwo.takie sobie.

Cask at the moon under water Watford. Jdw. A clear golden light orange coloured pour a halo of loose white head. Aroma is subdued pastry crust, dried fruit, nutty malts. Faint socks. Flavour is composed of semi sweet brown sugars, nutty malts, dried apple, pear, hint of soapy dishwater. Palate is medium sweet, lowish cask condition. Meh.

Bottle from local Co-op. Blonde with a hint of orange. Clear and fizzy. Some malt and astringent in the aroma, with a hint of lemon and wheat. Tastes sweeter than expected and there’s a sulphurous hit near the end. Medium body. I think this used to be better?

UPDATED: MAY 5, 2017 Golden appearance. Clear with honey and malty taste but with sulphur hints. Earthy citrus banana and apple flavours and mild but pleasant bitterness on palate. A little sweet. Good strength.Still overall very drinkable. Will try again. Second pint better.
