22oz bomber with spookgolds. Cloudy amber pour with a white head that dissipates quickly. Sweet malt, caramel aroma with notes of scotch. Malty, sweet, strong alcohol presence that burns lightly as it goes down. Nice example. mcox90 (2119) - Wilton, New Hampshire, USA - JUL 8, 2012
22 oz bottle from the Beer Store. Pours a reddish brown, mahogany color with a thin tan cap. Typical barlywine scents, brown sugar, caramel, toffee, dark fruits as well a bit of booze. Taste is dominated by the malty sweetness with brown sugar notes. Some bittering hops balance it out. Full, warming palate. I still have not met a Barlywine I didn’t like and this was no exception. johnnnniee (4403) - Bedford, New Hampshire, USA - NOV 3, 2012
Pours a deep burnished copper color with a smallish beige head that slowly recedes but never dissipates. Smells of brown sugar, caramel, a bit of dark pitted fruit, some earthy hops and a bit of an alcohol presence. The flavor is a bit on the sweet side with lots of dark sugar and caramel malt. A light bit of cherry and plum fruitiness mixed with an earthy hop flavor and a touch of ethanol. Medium to thick body with a light to moderate level of carbonation and a sweet sugary syrupy mouthfeel. Not to shabby of a barleywine. This is the second time I’ve had this and I’m glad I did because I remember not caring for it the first time. Maybe a batch or bottle variation? Zzt bottle. Murky red brown body. Aroma needs to open up a bit but afterwards shows great fruitiness and even a hint of sourness. Taste is mildly bitter and full-bodied. Quite sweet and sticky aftertaste. Countbeer (6591) - Best of E-Town mit 2 Brauhausen, NETHERLANDS - FEB 21, 2013

Bomber. Rich reddish amber pour. Sticky sweet caramel malt taste. Cloying as all hell. Delicious however. malrubius (2982) - Springfield, Vermont, USA - DEC 2, 2014
Bottle from Un Dun’s unintentional aging cooler. Reddish copper with lasting flat head. Piney woody bready aroma. Medium fruity sweetness with some toasted caramel brown sugar nuttiness and medium piney bitter fairly clean finish. Full body. After my experience with an ancient bottle of Wnter Wheat that I bought during the same visit to Un Dun I was worried, but this is in decent shape, mildly aged. Overall, a great surprise. Very good. 22 oz. bottle. Cellared since 24 April 2013. Clearer Amber color with no head. Aroma is a good raisins, plum and date. puboflyons (3467) - Allenstown, New Hampshire, USA - DEC 31, 2011
Body is medium with a lower carbonation level. Flavor is pretty dark fruit forward with a sugar sweet finish. The overall feel is exactly as it should be, ABV hidden nicely at this point with still a mild hop profile, please try surprised by this.
It pours a medium amber tone with copper-red hues in the light. Thin head that lasts awhile and cloudy in character. Plenty of aroma with sweet malts, meaty fruits like pear, and a crisp, clean hoppy backdrop. Very typical of a barleywine. The body is thick and heavy with a nice creaminess as well. The taste is barleywine pucker-up pungent with less fruity character in the taste and a pleasantly dry finale. A decent barleywine. dEnk (4200) - Den Haag, NETHERLANDS - FEB 16, 2013
Bottle @ zzt. Aroma is sweet malt with a slight citric note, some caramel and slight alcohol. Flavour is thick caramel, bread, malty sweetness, some fruity hop notes.
