Spur & Vine puts a Northwest twist on our classic American Hard Cider. Starting with the same apples and yeast as The Original, a generous amount of Galaxy hops were added to the cider during cold conditioning. Since no heat is applied to the hops, the cider takes on flavors and aromas of peach, melon, and honeysuckle, but with none of the traditional hop bitterness. Spur & Vine is best served straight up to allow the complexities of this cider to shine.

Bottle from Fred Meyer, Seattle
Pale yellow color, almost no head. Very nice aroma, Chardonnay and New World Gewurztraminer. Off dry mouthfeel, but smooth; light cider flavor, some white wine character, fruity, not bitter.
Excellent idea.

Bottle from Fred Meyer. Medium yellow in color with no head. Lightly pungent hop nose. Pretty much tastes like it reads in the name. Sweet cider up front. Sort of melding in to some hops. The hoppiness just kind of lets its presence be felt without being overpowering. Pretty well balanced.

Amazing sweet leafy hops aroma with strong presence of roasted apples. Light amber pour. Very nice hoppy start with a cider middle and finish. The hops dont linger at all

22 oz. bottle, pours a clear pale blonde with a tiny head. Nose brings out lots of dry hops upfront that are rather earthy and BO-like, with light apples in back. Flavour is quite pleasant, with a good balance of dry hops and medium sweet apples. The dry hopping is done well and tastes better than it smells. Good stuff.

Wow an almost fully impressive cider! This really had a pretty full body (due to the hops Id imagine) for a regular cider. Nice sweet apple flavors. Hints of non-bitter hops. Decent.

Decent cider. The hops can be smelled immediately. Not bitter at all. A small sweet front hit and a smooth finish.

Bottle. Pours with a clear, pale yellow hued body with minimal head. Aromas are of tropical hops, mineral, stone fruit, lychee, sauv blanc esq. Mildly sweet, white tea. Flavors are medium sweet, light sulfur, apple juice. Sweetness dulls the hop aromatics, still tropical and floral, but it would be so much better if it was drier/crisper. Medium body, off dry. Slightly St. Germain like (elderflower+citrus). Medium carbonation. Not bad, but could be better!

12 ounce bottle. Pours a clear yellow color with a small bubbly head. A big fresh hop and apple nose. The flavor is mostly fresh perfumy hops, apples, sweet. Quite good.

Bright bronze colour, fresh berryish hop aroma. The palate is less cohesive, with the hops and apple both clashing and being cohesive...not sure what to make of this.

Served in a wine glass. The appearance was a clear golden yellow with a vast array of carbonation bubbles stuck along the sides of the glass. Theres no head nor is there any lacing. The smell had alcohol and apples in a vinous sort of way. The taste was basically the same leading into a dry vinous aftertaste and finish. On the palate, this sat exceptionally light and spry on the tongue popping all over my taste buds but not popping them. The carbonation finishes not as sharp as expected. Overall, though I am still trying to figure out why hard ciders are on here, from what Ive had this is quite possibly one of the better ones because of the way it felt on my tongue.
