Sampled from the tap at the brewery. Pours a hazy light blonde with a white head that dissipates quickly to the edges. Aroma has sweet grains, light spice and light fruits. Pours a hazy blonde color without much in the way of head at all.
The aroma is gingery & sweaty... odd, but not wholly offensive.
The flavor is really gingery & spicy. It’s not overly sweet but has a nice bitterness to it.
On tap @ Square One. Hazed straw yellow pour with a white head. Nose of biscuit, honey, herbs, ginger, and lavendar. Slight citrus/lemon, some bread, and lots of cracker. Mild biscuit. Decent sweetness on the palate. Good biscuit, bread, and some hints of honey. Light lemon tartness, some lavendar, ginger, and a bit of an herbal thyme note. Draft on tap at the brewery (St. Louis, MO). RBSG 2014 Friday Bus Tour. Pours a well hazed straw hue, gentle yellow glow with loose bubbly head that dies down, laces minimally. Aromas are a bit sweet and fruity, apple and gentle pear ester. Touches of bread, straw, and crisp cereal elements. A bit yeasty as the Belgian element comes out. Initial is a bit sweet, touches of bubblegum, gentle fruit. Lighter body with some dryness, gentle yeastiness. A bit fruity, the gentle bready malt, dryness with some yeastiness. Spice, fruity. Pretty well put together. Nice.
