Bottle at ChrisO Snow Tasting, thanks to Jan. It pours darkest brown (near black) with a small tan head. The nose is roasted malt, toast, dark fruit, bourbon, vanilla, coffee and dark chocolate. The taste is rich-roasted malt, charcoal, espresso coffee, oak, vanilla, toasted coconut, chocolate and warming alcohol with a dry, toasty finish. Full body and moderate carbonation. Flavoursome, smooth and well-balanced. Tasty.

Bottle from dallas, thanks man! Very dark brown pour, quickly fading lacing. Barrel presence is quite forward, lots of caramel, booze, brown sugar. Taste is sorta muddled, with the base beer trying to peek through but being blasted back by the barrel. Finishes slightly thin. I really enjoy the base beer, and feel that this one could have benefited by letting it shine through a bit more. Not bad by any means, but nothing mind blowing here.

This is cool, but it is much, much, much more harsh than the non BA version of this beer. Nose is whiskey, taste is whiskey and much of the outer darkness is gone. Good, but not something i need more than a taste of!

Bottle shared by CLevar! Rich dark black pour, almost no carbonation and an aroma of bourbon and dark chocolate. Flavor is nice meld of peat, a little chocolate & sweet vanilla and bourbon mellowing it all the way through. Really enjoyable!

Acquired in a trade a while back. One of my lowest ABV stouts in the cellar so I figured a 750 by myself isn’t too bad. Enjoyed at 60F in my HFS glass.

A - Poured a midnight viscous black. a 1 finger coffee head was produced and faded to just a thin line of creamy bubbles.

S - The nose is pretty weak. I get some hints of vanilla and smoke. There’s a slight bourbon character but mostly, it smells more like a porter than a stout. Very weak nose.

T - Up front, roasted dark malts, chocolate and booze. The middle is a thick oak and bourbon rush. Finish is all coffee with hints of licorice and pepper.

M - Heavy body but light carbonation. Sort of creamy like frothed milk.

O - Maybe this beer has started to fall off? Hard to tell. It’s great. Not nearly a year old yet but it just doesn’t have that oomph I expected.

Bottle from a trade with Gription79. Pours black with ruby highlights and a thin brown head. Aromas of whisky, chocolate, roasted malts and a little booze. Similar flavors with some vanilla and oak. Full body with minimal carbonation and a creamy mouthfeel. Excellent! Thanks Dallas.

Pours pitch black with ruby hues...medium creamy dark mocha head. Aroma has coconut, vanilla, light coconut and roastiness...faint dark fruit. Flaovr has nice bold roastiness and subtle dark fruit, very light whiskey, oaky whiskey vanilla creeping in. Mouthfeel is creamy and the finish warms with roasty oak. Wow.

750ml bottle. Black pour with a brown head. Aromas of roast, wood, coffee, earth, licorice, sine vanilla, and some dark fruits. Tastes of chocolate, roast, vanilla, whiskey, dark fruits, and coffee. Some alcohol in the finish but overall nicely hidden.
