750 ml bottle shared with the group. Pours dark brown to black in color with a small khaki colored head. The aroma and flavor have big roasted malts, smoky peat, dark chocolate, some whiskey notes, oak, darker bitterness, some oxidation to this, but solid enough still. Bottle shared by alexsdad06. Thanks! The beer is a dark brown to black with no head. The aroma has strong roast character and caramel. Moderate sweetness. I get some fruit as well. Not much barrel character in the taste. Big body and medium carbonation. phaleslu (10100) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - SEP 28, 2015
750 ml bottle shared by patrickctenchi or shrubber85 - don’t remember which, but thanks, guys! Pours a dark cloudy brown with a small tan head that settles into a ring and leaves some spots behind. Notes of chocolate, toasted sugar, vanilla, tobacco, earth, and some dried and dark fruits. Medium-bodied, wiht moderate carbonation and a smooth, sweet mouthfeel. Definitely past its prime, as some oxidation is setting in, but still very good. I wouldn’t sit on it any longer if you’ve got one. shrubber85 (11324) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - SEP 27, 2015
Bottle. Light earthy chocolate malt, and hay aroma. Black with small tan head. Sweet smoky chocolate malt and moderately bitter herbal hay flavor. Nice balance. Nice earthy beer.

@ phaleslu’s cinci tasting. 750ml bottle. Very dark brown, near-black color. Light brown ring of head. Nice bits of lace. Bit of oxidization noticeable up front in the flavor, for me. Moderate roast, some dark fruit. Some dark chocolate. Moderate to bigger bitter taste. Lighter to moderate sweet, bit of heat on the back end. Moderate to bigger body. Kind of soft, lighter carbonation. Light dry finish. A decent, roasty russian imperial stout. Bit too dark fruity, bit oxidized for me, though. brokensail (16432) - Dublin, California, USA - JUL 7, 2015
Bottle @ RBSG 2015. Thanks, Dallas. Pretty much black in color with a tan head. Smells of dark fruits, rye whiskey, and vanilla. A touch of licorice and some burnt sugar. Nice enough roasted malt and charred oak as well. Some sweet vanilla, whiskey, and dark fruits. Slight creme brulee. A bit boozy and roasty on the finish. hayduke (5188) - Eureka, California, USA - JUL 3, 2015
This was from a bottle at the RBSG Grand Tasting. Pours nearly black with a tan head. The nose is roasted malts, chocolate, whiskey, and wood. Medium body .Flavor is much like the aroma and very rich. Nice long whisky flavor bitter finish. Really good. mcberko (17178) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 22, 2015
750mL bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out intense bourbon barrels, almost a tartness from the wood and light cocoa. Flavour follows suit, with super boozy barrel notes, tart fruits, and wood. Fairly complex, but I’m a little put off by the sourness. Still, very nice stuff. djd07 (14366) - Houston, Texas, USA - JUN 20, 2015
Bottle at RBSG Grand Tasting. Pours a dark brown with small beige head. The aroma is roast, chocolate, wood. Medium mouth, similar flavors to nose, bitter finish, good
