An intense aroma of hops and caramel and malts. Wow, this way better than I expected. Some hops, but a lot of malt flavor battling it out, mostly grassy versus caramel. Overall, good stuff I’d get again. Smooth and creamy finish, one of the best ambers I’ve ever had.

Hoppy, in the citrus family if fresh. Finish sophisticated. Great amber. Thanks Sqauatters

Nice toasted flavor and aroma, well-balanced with some caramel malt. Toastier than your standard Amber; maybe bordering on American Brown? Moderate hop character; secondary to the malt, but it’s there.

Squatters Big Cottonwood has a medium, soapy, cream-colored head, a mostly clear, deep amber appearance, lots of streaming bubbles, and a little bit of lacing left behind. The aroma is of piney hops, bread crust, and sweetness, and the flavor is strongly of hop oil, with sweet bread crust, some toffee, and a bit of pecan shell. Mouthfeel is medium and slick, and Squatters Big Cottonwood finishes semi-dry, easy drinking, and sweet. It is a delicious beer. RJT

22oz bottle picked up at Squatters
Appearance: Pours clear copper/amber with a nice off-white with some lacing left in the glass
Aroma: Huge citrus and fruity aroma
Taste: Piney, caramel and bitter pine
A very nice amber ale, nice and hoppy. Clean, crisp and refreshing. This is the first beer in the small batch series. I’m looking forward to the next ones.

Courtesy of douglas88. Pours clear amber with ruby edges and thin tan head. The aroma is sharp spicy hops, earthy hops, malt roastiness and a sense of saltiness. The taste is similar with pleasing levels of spicy hops, earthy hops, a thin layer of grapefruit then picking up malt sweetness and a bit of roasted malts. Nice full flavored brew.

Bottle. Pours deep amber with beige head. Aroma has a great hop bouquet with notes of bright pine and citrus with a faint hint of nuttiness. Flavor has a refreshing touch of piney and citrus hopes with a nice, subtle caramel and nuttiness meshed in. Mouthfeel is medium body with high carbonation. Overall, nicely made brew!

This is one of the best ambers I've had funny they call it high gravity. Nice hop aroma. Balanced very enjoyable wish I could get that low gravity brew at home. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Clear amber with light brown foam head, staying and lacing. Aroma is caramel but hopy aroma’s are there too. Taste si quite bitter for an amber, little caramel. Surprisngly good beer. (Salt Lakr City 201308)

12 oz. bottle. Pours red brown with a khaki tight foamy head that leaves a wispy film and lacing. Aroma has really nice caramel malt and sugar with a little spice. Taste has nice spice caramel malt and a bitter dry earthy hop presence. Palate is medium and a little sticky with a chalky dry finish. Solid!
