dark brown, almost black, pour with light brown head - aroma of plums and molasses - flavors of coffee and light brown sugar
Tap. Pours clear mahogany, large creamy beige head, good lacing. Aroma is quite roasty, lactose. Flavor is medium sweet, light bitter. Medium plus body, creamy. Send like a milk stout to me. Bricktop86 (882) - Moore, Oklahoma, USA - SEP 13, 2016
On tap in Salt Lake City. Arrived dark brown with a thin white head. Aroma is very slight smoke and chocolate. Taste is lightly bitter and lightly sweet. Mouthfeel is very watery. mcberko (18557) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - AUG 2, 2016
On tap at Squatters, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma is very subtle, with dry cocoa powder and light toasted malt. Flavour brings out dry cocoa powder and smooth toasted malt. Creamy palate but not a whole lot going on. Decent. mar (5436) - Dallas, Texas, USA - JUN 23, 2016
Tap at brewpub. Black with a light khaki head. Dry, oat, roast, chocolate and sweet. Easy palate, bitter oats, roasted malts and chocolate, great finish. snoworsummer (5959) - baltimore, Maryland, USA - JUN 20, 2016
Draft at the brewpub. Pours dark brown with a fizzy tan head. Tastes like watery chocolate malt, maybe nutty, maybe coffee, and burnt toast. Light body and low carbonation. Faint aroma of watered down chocolate malt and burnt toast.

Draft at restaurant location in Salt Lake City. Appearance is good for this style of stout with a rich foamy head. Taste is on mark, but I think the 4% Utah alcohol limit results in a thin palate. brokensail (16633) - Dublin, California, USA - AUG 19, 2015
On tap @ Squatters. Black in color with some tan foam. Has a bit of a toasted marshmallow smell to it. Lots of ash and roast, too. Tastes quite bitter and a bit acidic. It’s very thin and watery on the tongue. Somewhat nutty, I guess...a bit of an astringent tea quality as well. Started off well and faded fast. peponi (1941) - Hannover, GERMANY - JUL 21, 2015
Aroma: roasted malts and ashy.
Appearance: black color and nice beige head.
Taste: low bitterness, roasted malts, herbs, quite smooth, ashy and acid, empty and dry.
Palate: low body and medium carbonation, ashy finish.
Overall: Rather a dry stout, it is too empty and flat. katrinaez (2175) - norristown, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 5, 2015
Heavy in the mouth and on the tongue. Sweetness that sticks around. Can’t have now than one. Very good. slowrunner77 (12581) - Reno, Nevada, USA - OCT 18, 2014
"a bit under average for an oatmeal stout, a style i usually go out of my way for. this one has some nice roasted flavors going on, but it’s nothing special, and a little watery. ok overall."
