Truly one of the finest offerings one can partake of from Squatters!! This brew poured up a cloudy light-golden colored body with a meringue-like head with awesome retention and lacing effects. Aromas full of pear, cloves, banana, and peppery spices. Flavors are intense and very well-balanced with the addition of lemon-grass and a fruity hint somewhat like starfruit. Medium-bodied, good carbonation, very creamy and a finish that is dry, tart and tangy. icelite (5) - Herriman, Utah, USA - SEP 1, 2013 does not count
Smells clean and fresh. Easy to drink with smooth frothy head and nice bubbles. Taste of citrus and herbs. Slight tang with crisp finish. Really like this one. Cajun (534) - Lafayette, Louisiana, USA - NOV 2, 2016
Bottle - Pours a pale amber with big soapy head. Aroma of Belgian yeast, breads, cloves, bubblegum, vanilla, bananas. Flavors of the same, with a fruity hint, rich yeast, and solid hop profile.

Let this bottle warm a bit from the fridge. Poured with a large, foamy, frothy, fluffy, slightly thick, off white head that slowly settles and some lace. Color is a clear golden amber with lots of bubble trails. Aroma is yeast, hop, malt, spice, vineous. Flavor is a little on the sweet side with some bitterness and carbonic tang to balance. Body is a little soft, full, and carbonation is very good. Finish is like flavor and of medium length. This beer is virtually indistinguishable from the Belgians and super easy drinking. It’s not that it’s so unique in its characteristics as it is in its being so true to style. Great beer! Vikingbrew (193) - Colorado, USA - OCT 2, 2010
Belgian yeast, spicy, earthy, sweet, orange peel aroma. Highly carbonated with small white bubbles. Dry spicy flavor with citrus and banana notes. Belgian yeast. Medium body. Very enjoyable.

750 ml bottle into tulip glass, no bottle dating. Pours very hazy golden amber color with nice 2-3 finger pillowing white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice foamy lacing clings to the glass. Aromas of pear, apple, banana, herbal, floral, pepper, clove, lemon, bubblegum, and yeast spiciness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity. Taste of lemon, pear, banana, bubblegum, pepper, clove, herbal, floral, earth, biscuit, and yeast spices. Lingering notes of lemon, pear, banana, pepper, clove, biscuit, earth, and yeast spices on the finish for a good bit. Nice balance and complexity of flavors; no cloying flavors at all. Medium-high carbonation and medium bodied; with a fairly creamy and prickly mouthfeel that is very nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a slight warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is an excellent Belgian strong golden ale. Great complexity and balance of flavors; very smooth and crisp to sip on. Really enjoyed this one. mikey (503) - farmington, Utah, USA - MAR 18, 2009
Poured into a tulip: a lightly hazy honey/orange with a dense 3 fingers of white foam, which fade into a moderate sized cap. The nose is lemony coupled with dusty-oak and a wild yeastiness.
The taste starts with dry apricot and pear followed by spicy malty grains. The end is lemony with notes of straw and wheat. The finish is nice and dry with a lite champagne like carbonation.
This beer is very crisp and refreshing. Just so easy going down and incredibly light on the palate. The the 7.75% ABV doesn’t have any burn and is well hidden. dionysus (1486) - Portland, Oregon, USA - AUG 21, 2010
Thanks to Superdave!! Bottle pours gold with a frothy white head. Aroma is fruity with honey, wheat bread, white pepper, and alcohol. Flavor shows the same with some additional lemon, pear, and yeasty goodness. Overall body is moderate, lightly sweet, and finishes dry with some nice warming alcohol. Another pretty solid, tasty brew from squatters. Gription79 (2890) - Bountiful, Utah, USA - APR 4, 2011
Poured golden with a white, long lasting head with super tiny bubbles. Nose and taste had Belgian yeast, pears, apples, and pilsner malt sweetness. Finishes dry. douglas88 (9176) - Portland, Oregon, USA - MAR 17, 2009
Wow, I’m the first to rate this excellent beer. It is available in 750 ml bottles at the brewpub, about 1,000 bottles made, so it should be around for awhile. 7.75% alcohol. Pours a crystal clear golden color with a thick foamy white head. The aroma is sweet; lots of yeast, light fruit, apples and some malty zest. The flavor is smooth and nice; lots of yeast, gentle fruit aspects, apple and perhaps peach, a bubbly mouthfeel. Very nice and a great example of the style. Jenny and Squatters keep making excellent beers, thanks!
