A lightly hazed golden amber DIPA with a thick frothy lacing light mocha head. In aroma, light caramel malt with resinous floral hops, grapefruit pulp, light tropical fruits, treacle, nice. In mouth, a nice caramel malt with light vinous notes, treacle, light butterscotch, resinous and piney hops, light pink grapefruit, pleasant.

Bottle. Amber gold in colour. Good off-white head. Very Fruity; very orange citrus, orange marmalade, some tropical fruit. Hoppy; piney resinous hops. Malty; sweet malts, caramel. Nice fruit/hop/malt balance. Sweet orange citrus fruity and caramel malty throughout. Increasing bitterness into a dry hoppy finish. Nice DIPA! (2014-09-12)

Pre-pour thoughts. Message under bottle cap reads. "GOOD for what ALES you". Heh heh, that’s good. Tonight’s occasion is, I hate my job, and I can barely bear the thought of going in tomorrow. So if there’s a genie in this bottle, I wish for a new job.

Pours a copper orange color. Not very clear, some fine particulatesin there. About one finger cream colored head. Medium head longevity. Good lacing, okay retention.

Aroma is a malt bonanza. Wow. Toasted barley, light pine, light citrus. Caramel. Earthy hops. It’s a little different than what I was expecting. That pine thing, it’s more of a pine bark....

Taste is leaning sweet. A little pine resin. Caramel, light orange zest. Honey and toast. Meh. It’s hoppy, but it’s more earthy or floral.

Mouthfeel is medium to full bodied. It’s not real bitter, I guess thanks to the earthy hops. So the drinkability is pretty high. It is dry, smooth. Hides the alcohol well. Not too carbonated. Yeah....

Overall, it’s pretty good. I’m not super impressed. But then again, I’m not disappointed either. Earthy hops are interesting. I’d probably buy it again. I’d probably recommend it also. I guess I’ll have to wait till morning to see if my wish was granted.

Bottle pour - orange/copper color with a frothy white head. Aroma is generally citrus hops with a solid dose of sweet malts, some breadiness and booze. Flavor is very malt forward for an IIPA - there’s some good bitterness mixed in, but this is a safe one if you’re not a hop-forward person. Healthy dose of sweetness and booziness mixed in - not surprised to see 9% on this, as it drinks like it is high ABV. Palate is medium bodied - mild carbonation. Good brew, but not if I’m looking for a bit more bite...

gururyan (730) - Stillwater, Oklahoma, USA - OCT 29, 2016
Poured from can into snifter, clear deep amber red, off white head, subtle aroma. Probably a better bet IPA for those that don't like a biting hop mouthfeel. Subtle caramel finish. I should add that this beer is rather inconsistent and seems quite temperamental to temperature and handling. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Chris brought this one back for me from a trip to Utah. +++ Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a vibrant copper color with a large foamy orange-white head that lingered and left decent lacing. The aroma was sweet with pine, resin and a sour caramel note. The flavor was sour caramel, pine, resin and tobacco. Long finish. Full bodied. Solid.
