Big grapefruit and sweet malt on the nose. A little sweet and think but enough bitterness as well. Good if not quite a standout.

Bottle. Love the cut of and the picture on the label. Hazy marmalade in color with an nice, off white head. Lots of grapefruit and tangerine citrus on the nose. Big on flavor but not obnoxious or overbearing like this style often finds itself being....the pine makes a big introduction with more citrus, a much sweeter version than on the nose. Well done.

AgentAle (1753) - Alberta, CANADA - SEP 6, 2015
Aroma is grapefruit, citrus, honey, light earthiness and lightly soured grapes. Taste is rich caramel malts with light funk. Finishes surprisingly smooth with very little tanin on tip. Appearance is a clear gold with a thin pearl head that retains fairly well.

brokensail (16449) - Dublin, California, USA - AUG 20, 2015
Bottle @ Whiskey St. Hazed orange pour with a white head. Lots of sweet peach and some caramel malts. Big time grapefruit, some orange rind, and lemon peel. Pretty decent bready malts and some tropical fruits. Not bad, decently hoppy but certainly sweeter than I typically like.

Pretty decent DIPA. Surprisingly balanced with a dense hop nose, mostly citrus but with some piney qualities. Flavor to match aroma.

Bottle. Pour is hazy gold. Aroma of resin and some fruit. Taste is both tropical (maybe pineapple) and pine.

Aroma: passion fruit, mango, herbs. Appearaance: hazy amber color, nice creamy head. Taste: medium bitterness (herbs and citrus), some mango and passion fruit notes, herbs, nice malty backbone, semi-dry. Palate: medium body and medium carbonation, bitterfinish. Overall: Quite decentt DIPA, drinkable.

650 ml bottle purchased from the local H.E.B, Austin TX. The stamp on the bottom of the can reads Best Before: 9/3/2015, very fresh. Mason jar shows a copper color, lasting head retention. Aroma is mild at best, light caramel, pine and caramel.

Flavor is surprising for a DIPA. Super thin body that is borderline watery. The ABV is masked but no real hop punch to speak of. Sweet malt, to much caramel, maybe honey. I guessing Crystal 60. Muddled overall. I was really hoping for better at this price point, damn it. Ok we have inconsistency here or are people lying about this brew?

High ABV hop bomb from Salt Lake?! What Would Joseph Smith Do? Order a pint! Plenty of hops but not overwhelming--fairly nice balance and a medium body.
