Bottle acquired in Secret Santa. This pours a amber-gold color with a good thick frothy head. A notch of lace clings to the glass after each sip. The aroma is a fairly basic scent of pine, resin, and caramel. Going down this is silky smooth with a hefty sweet caramel backbone supporting a sharp resinous hop profile. The flavor has hints of citrus with a touch of grass. The finish is bitter and dry. Solid stuff.

UPDATED: OCT 8, 2017 Balanced with equal parts caramel malt and piney/herbal hop flavor. Hides the 9% ABV well and drinks more like an IPA than a double.

12 oz. can. Pours a clear pale gold, with a fine-grained creamy off-white head. Aroma of tropical fruit, caramel, pine. Taste is caramel, tropical fruit, pine, orange notes, alcohol. Malty backbone. Warming finish. Good.

Iznogud (4070) - CROATIA - AUG 12, 2017
Bottle, 355 ml from state liquor store, St George. Pours cloudy orange with medium white head. Moderate to heavy hoppiness, fruit, peach, pine, caramel malty backbone, moderate sweetness. Lasting dry bitter finish. Good.

Pour is a clear copper with a small white head. Aroma is a pine hop with a strong caramel malt backbone. Flavor is pretty much all malt with very little hop. Everything I hate with some IPA’s can be found in this beer. Way too heavy malt bill. Hops that have faded or can’t stand up to the malt. The best by date on the bottom of the can is 10/27/17, there is no way that can be correct. This tastes poor in the first week of August in the middle of October this could actually be worse? The alcohol is hidden well, that’s all the good I can say about this.

LCI. Uit blik geschonken. Lekkere zoete en lichtbittere dipa, hoppig, fruitig met een prettige nasmaak, niet te bitter. Mooi in balans.

Bottle 12oz. Light amber with a small white head. Hoppy aroma with some malt. Rich malty taste with a very bitter finish.

Can. It poured a golden color with a white head. The aroma was of pine, caramel, tangerine and hops. The taste was similar to the aroma with more pine, caramel, tangerine, hops and grapefruit. It had a medium body with a mild bitter finish. Good stuff.

Fresh clean aroma. Hop bite followed by a weird soapy flavor. Good palate, but the taste just ruins it for me. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

One of the best double IPAs you will have. Must pour it in a glass. Dry hop, imperial, bold / strong taste. Have two tops, otherwise you will be walking in a circle. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
