Pours with a lightly hazy, copper color that summons only a one-finger thick pale tan colored head to start with. The aroma is distinctly American in hop character with notes of sweet grapefruit and orange zest up front but then a large tropical fruit note kicks in. The tropical fruit notes are smooth and fruity with notes of apricot, peaches, pineapple and other sweet tropical fruit notes rounding things out. There are also notes of pine, green hay, and a touch of menthol underneath the dominant hop fruit notes. A touch of biscuit and cracker like maltiness is noticeable if you really dig for it.GreatLibations (1854) - Last Supper, Arizona, USA - FEB 4, 2007
While my first sip is certainly quite hop flavored, I notice a soft malt sweetness followed by a dry biscuit-like, almost toasted malt character right away. The malt character seems to subside, but never quite disappear, on subsequent sips of this brew. The overall dryness, with just a hint of sweetness, tends to mute the intense fruit notes of the aroma. Those flavors are here though and still play a prominent role, just perhaps a bit muted compared to a beer with a touch more malt sweetness. Sharply bitter, with quite the hop bit from the very front to a lingering bitterness in the finish. The dryness and the relatively light mouthfeel of this beer make it oh so quaffable (though you might have to have some hop head in you to get past the scathing hop character). The pine and menthol hop character seems to come through a bit more in the flavor, but fruity notes of tangerines, apricots and tropical fruit are definitely here in the flavor. Still the hop character is fairly smooth for such an aggressively hopped brew; it is not particularly astringent and is missing those sometimes sharp herbal / vegetal notes of some hopped up brews. I could definitely drink a few pints of this brew. It is a nice easy quaffing brew for those of us who like hops in all there forms.

Pours a nice little apricot color w/ minimal froth. Reduces to minimal lacing. Aroma is slightly rubber burnt. Medium nectar w/ ample residual effers creates a velvety texture. Flavors have the usual citrus hops and the malt componant is not so caramely but theres an underlying burnt characteristic w/ the malt. The finish is bittered w/ velvety citrus rind. Overall: It’s only 6% and the burnt malts annoy me. elnadeau (786) - Laguna Niguel, California, USA - JAN 31, 2007
Nice orange tinged appearance, good floral citrus hop aromas. Light body, unremarkable flavor profile, seems out of balance on the thin and bitter side. rauchbier (3902) - Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, ENGLAND - JAN 30, 2007
Botlle, at GBBF 2005. Gold, poor white head and gentle condition. Good solid peppery hop resin aromas, pleasant citrusy grapefruit, bitter hop and sweet graininess in the mouth and a lingering soft hoppiness that turns to controlled bitterness at the end.

This IPA pours a light orange gold color from a 12oz bottle. Medium sized white foamy head. Aroma is floral and citrus with a touch of sweetness. A medium to lighter bodied IPA. Malts are caramel, fruity and sweet. Hops are floral and citrusy. Mildly bitter IPA. Perhaps a little thin but a very decent IPA. It’s a little mild in comparison to most PNW IPAs but not bad. Aroma is soft and full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Pours a cloudy golden hue with a light white head. minimal lacing. Aromas of citrus, a light sweetness, and some pine. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with a lingering finish. Flavors of the same as the aroma with a light sweetness and not much else. ford9719 (371) - Vilseck, GERMANY - DEC 12, 2006

12 oz. bottle from Plaza Liquor - Pours a clear amber color with an average size head. Light lacing. Has a light citrus and apple aroma. Flavor is full of esters. Light to medium body. Worth a try. GG (2332) - NorCal, California, USA - NOV 20, 2006
Quite suprised at this offering from the Mormon State. Seen this at my local BevMo and thought it’d be nice to try. Got it home, popped it open and the aroma wasn’t half bad! A nice piney/citrusy aroma hit me and it was good enough to make me take notice. Mouthfeel is soft and clean. Flavors are bright with notes of piney hops and sweet malts with a suprisingly good balance between the two. Unfortunately, it might get a bit lost amongst all the West Coast/PNW hoppy IPA’s but this is definitely worth taking a look at. ChillCoat (1029) - Concord, California, USA - OCT 16, 2006
Bottle. pours a brilliant, clear copper color with a very nice, off-white head. Malty aroma with just a note of some floral hops. Very nice IPA with a malty, English style flavor. Clean and well brewed.
