Bottle share (I brought this that I won from StefanSD during FBW). Pours black, thick, with a foamy tan head. Aromas of roasted malts, chocolate, black licorice, caramel, and vanilla. Flavor follows the nose with black licorice, chocolate, slight smoked wood, roasted malts, caramel, and vanilla. Full bodied, thick texture, soft carbonation, smooth finish. poisoneddwarf (2511) - Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho, USA - MAR 27, 2016
750 ml foiled bottle from StefanSD for free beer week. Aroma is tobacco, licorice, vanilla, light roast. Pours black with a large tan head with great retention and lace. Seems pretty average for an impy, but it’s definitely tasty. Beerdrinker79 (2188) - Idaho, USA - MAR 27, 2016
750 no bottle, thanks Poisoneddwarf- Pours black with a mocha colored head with some lace. Aroma is dark berries, other dark fruits, licorice. Taste is licorice, tobacco, dark fruits. Decent beer. GTAEgeek (2185) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - MAR 15, 2016
750 mL bottle, best before 2 March 2016. Plack, with a big, foamy, brown head. The nose is caramelized sugar, black coffee, bitter chocolate, and a bit of smoke. Sweet up front, with a strong bitterness. Heavy body, syrupy, sticky, and clingy. This is a big, cloying, malt bomb, but the bitterness balances out pretty well. The more imperial stouts you have, the more you start getting particular. And we’ll you should because there are to many imperial stouts that get a free pass just because they’re big and rich. But this one works for me. Big time. Not too hoppy, not too hot, not too roasted, not too sweet (but sweet enough for me). Just great. (On tap at the Groveland Tap).

750 ml bottle. Pours dark brown black with a big creamy tan head that retains well and laces the glass.Funkatrocious (119) - - FEB 1, 2016
The aroma is sweet grainy roast chocolate malt with some dark fruit and black licorice.
The flavor is sweet lactic chocolate malt with heavy roast and some dark fruit and black licorice and then a bitter heavy roast finish. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with smooth carbonation.
Overall, a decent imperial stout. A little too sweet and roasty for me.
Pour from bottle. Deep dark brown. Rich chocolate notes with a satisfyingly bitter finish. Good dark beer.

I really enjoyed this beer at Todd English PUB in Las Vegas. Paired well with pretzels and brisket.

Bomber (bought in 2013) - pours like motor oil - black, viscous, thick and silky. Thick brown frothy head that thins out but still coats my glass. Good layered aroma of roasting coffee beans, melting chocolate, burnt toast, warm alcohol and dark ripe fruit. A mouthful reveals bitter roasted grain, dark chocolate, molasses, espresso, warm booze and peaty earth. Well made JBPortland (1543) - Hampton Roads, Virginia, USA - DEC 4, 2015
750ml bottle pours oily dark black with a finger of foamy tan head. Nose is roasty bitter cocoa, tar, ash, charred nutty dark chocolate and molasses. Palate is thick, big roasty molasses and dark fruit, ashy roast, some vanilla. Finishes with pretty well balanced bitterness, lingering vanilla and baker’s chocolate. Solid.
