Clear dark black color with a average to large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light brown head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, dark roasted, coffee, light to moderate hoppy. Flavor is heavy sweet and moderate to heavy bitter with a long to average duration, dark malt, soft and smooth. Body is medium, texture is creamy, carbonation is soft.

Bottle shared at ACBS courtesy of Steptin. Cheers James! Opaque black beer, good thick tan head. Malty coffee nose. Light palate - soft and semi dry. Dark malt, splash of minerals. Lots of rich coffee - somewhat bitter. Mild alcohol heat in the finish which also reveals a trace of red fruit.

Black color with small brown head, creamy. Mild aroma of roasted malts, light chocolate, light rind of mountain cheese, very light smoke, elegant and complex. Full bodied, with very good chocolate flavor, smooth, rich, with nice compendium of roasted malts; very light vanilla; balanced bitterness.
