Pitch black pour with a cream head. Coffee, roasted malts, chocolate, and more coffee. Excellent on the palate, great coffee flavor, chocolate, faint roasted malts, and a great coffee finish. Gription79 (2891) - Bountiful, Utah, USA - DEC 23, 2011
22 ounce bomber. Pitch black liquid filled my glass. Spicy coffee is the dominating aroma followed by a lactose sweetness, roasted malts, and a balancing earthy character. The flavor is surprising as a sweet maltiness comes first followed by the roasted malts and coffee. A great coffee stout. This has mellowed with a year of age. I wish I had more. bu11zeye (13029) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - OCT 6, 2011
(22oz bottle, courtesy of thirdeye11) Pours a black body with a small beige head. Aroma of coffee, chocolate, and roasted malt. Flavor of chocolate, roasted malt, nuts, and coffee. AWMiller (512) - Mansfield, Texas, USA - SEP 26, 2011
What an amazing stout! This brew poured up a near black colored body with a thin, bubbly head that dissipated quickly and left marginal lacing on the glass. Awesome aromas of powdered cocoa, robust coffee, dark chocolates, and sweet roasted malts. The flavors are of the same and absolutely intense in this robust brew; very well-blended. Near medium-bodied, creamy, good carbonation, and very easy on the drinkability scale. Would pair up very nicely with a juicy rib-eye steak or perhaps some succulent beef fajitas!

Bottle with many thanks to Dallas! Pours black with tan head. Nose/taste of freshly brewed coffee - and lots of it - , chocolate, roasted black malt and vanilla. Finishes with a load of freshly brewed coffee. Creamy mouth feel. Body is a little on the light side. Mora2000 (6158) - McKinney, Texas, USA - SEP 18, 2011
Thank to thirdeye11 for sharing this bottle.
The beer pours a dark brown color with a tan head. The aroma is full of roasted malt and chocolate with some coffee mixed in. All of the things I look for in an American Stout are present in the aroma.
The flavor is also very nice. I get a ton of chocolate and coffee, with a little bit of roasted character hidden in the background. The alcohol is completely hidden and there are no hop notes.
Medium to thick mouthfeel and medium carbonation. A very nice stout. thirdeye11 (6162) - Dallas, Texas, USA - AUG 12, 2011
(22oz bomber) espresso brown pour with ruby hints at the edges. Nose of rich fresh coffee, peanut butter, and chocolate. Taste is of a thin coffee, cream, a bit of chocolate sprinkled in, peanut shells and nutty in general. Thin body with a nutty linger. Smelled great, disappointed in the taste. Thanks thirdeye11!!! Very dark brown pour. There is a little touch of red near the edge. Foamy brown head. Aroma is GLORIOUS coffee! Wow fat black coffee, coffee ground and roasted awesomeness. Reminds me of Grandpa’s house. Flavor is rich dark coffee and roasted grounds. Bitter flavors but this is pretty much ALL coffee...and I love it. 651mL thanks to douglas88. The pour is a clear, deep brown with a medium coffee brown head. Small lace. Nose is a little green with intense coffee, volatile compounds like chilis, peppercorn, and roasted chestnuts that subside to reveal hazelnut, brown sugar, sweetened coffee. Rich coffee all around. Taste is sweet hazelnut coffee with no astringency or chalkiness. A very nice, full palate creates an iced coffee flavor with mild sugar richness. Very drinkable and not overwhelming. Reminds me a little bit of Struise/De Molen Black Damnation and Black Damnation II Mocha Bomb.
