Bomber courtesy of douglas88. Pours clear ruby red hued highlights and amber body as well as tan head. The aroma is rich and malty and roasty all at the same time with a pleasing hoppy sting and notes of burnt toast coming forward near the end of the draw. The taste has a moment of caramel malts before roasty malts and slight molasses sweetness well up to the surface. There are also glimpses of spicy hops here and there to add additional character and interest to this smooth rich yummy brown. Sledutah (7487) - Utah, USA - NOV 11, 2010
22oz bottle at Squatters, thanks to Jenny douglas88 (9049) - Portland, Oregon, USA - NOV 10, 2010
Appearance: Pours slightly hazy dark brown with a nice beige head and some lacing
Aroma: Toasted malts, nutty and floral
Taste: Toasted malts, chocolate, some floral and pine hops
Another great beer from Squatters.
650 ml bottle thanks to Jen. The second in the small batch series. Lots of similarity in this brew and the Big Cottonwood- both are very tasty and quite quaffable. Pours a murky brown with a medium off-white head. The aroma is initially all pine hops, some chocolate comes to the fore later. A rich flavor; aggressive piny hops, toasted malts, chocolate, light earthiness. Very good. markwise (5441) - North of Tampa, Florida, USA - FEB 21, 2011
Thanks to IBrew2or3 for the share. Pours dark cola brown with a tan head. Nose is some chocolate, citrus hops, cocoa, and earth. Flavor is similar with a good amount of hops, earth, and cocoa. Medium-bodied and very good for an American Brown Ale. hellbilly (3249) - scottsdale über alles, Arizona, USA - APR 7, 2012

Bottle: Pours a dark brown color with a nice off-white head. The nose is thick with caramel and nutty light roast, some chocolate malts and a light hop note. The flavor is balanced and rich, nice maltiness and chewy nutty malt notes. Finishes balanced and chewy. Clean, nice and well-thought. Mora2000 (6158) - McKinney, Texas, USA - SEP 18, 2011
Thank to thirdeye11 for sharing this bottle.
The beer pours a dark reddish-brown color with a tan head. The aroma is full of toffee and dark fruit with some bread notes and a little bit of alcohol. The flavor is similar. I get some chocolate, toffee and caramel notes as well as some dark fruit - mainly cherries and dates. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. A very nice brown ale. bu11zeye (13029) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - AUG 25, 2011
