Clear red-orange pour with a foamy light-tan head. Appealing bready nose, again bread and light caramel with a well-balanced dry snap from the hops coming along late. Refreshing light mouthfeel is quite appropriate for the 4% ABV. Quite clean, quite tasty.
"not a style i’m crazy about, although i’ve had one or two really good ones. this is not one of them. there’s just nothing special that this beer brings to the table. not enough going on for me." travita (4993) - Dallas, Texas, USA - AUG 9, 2014
Tap at the brewpub. The look is clear, copper colored, and a thin white head. The smell is malt, sweet, grainy, bread, and rye. The taste is sweet, grainy, malt, and ok. jkwalking05 (4734) - Arlington, Texas, USA - AUG 9, 2014
On tap at Squatters Pub. Gold in color with an average off-white head. Aroma is of malt, caramel, toast. Taste is of caramel, light toffee, malt, light herbal notes. Kinz (3786) - Glen Allen, Virginia, USA - MAR 29, 2014
Draft at Squatter’s SLC. Poured a clear medium brownish red, with a slight head. Aroma was toasty malt. Flavor matched. Clean, simple, refreshing. Light bodied. Hops were present as countering bitterness, but that is all they were there for. A very nicely executed Vienna, but ultimately for no good reason, it wasn’t doing much for me either. Probably a mood thing, as this was well done, and a style I sometimes enjoy. Headbanger (3992) - Aurora, Illinois, USA - JAN 2, 2014
Draft Flight 12/01 (Brewpub-SLC)-Pours a clear light amber with a decent head. Aroma of caramel and roasted malt. Taste of the same with faint toffee and bread. This light to medium bodied brew is not too shabby.
