Palme (4823) - Bergen, NORWAY - JUL 15, 2016
0.5l bottle. Well, it’s a deep amber one, if not what I’d call bronze brown in the glass. Cloudy and on top there’s a nice medium sized softly lacing beige brown head. On the nose I get tones of old coffee, mild licorice. It has a nice roastiness, sourish in a way and a little bit of wood. Not top bad actually. Tastes quite roasted and dry. Lots of dry acidic coffee here. It has a nice oily texture in the mouth and it’s just above average on the carbonation. Very mineralish and it has a good amount of cardboard. Not a very successful one imo but I like the roastiness that lingers in the aftertaste. 04.11.2015

Bottle enjoyed at home
Pours dark brown with a thick light tanned head. Smell of roast, citrus hops, caramel and malts. Moderate sweet, roast, toast, caramel, a bit watery; i think it lacks a bit flavor and malts. Moderate to medium bitter, toasty tail.

500 ml bottle. Dark amber body with a light beige head. Aroma has chocolate, toast, and hint of coffee. Flavor is light roasted dark malt, caramel, coffee and nuts with balanced bitterness. Fine balanced body and nice in aftertaste. A nice one, in the cossline between amber and brown ale.

Flaske 500ml fra Vinmonopolet Tromsø Sentrum. Kjempedypamber/svart. Middels høyt skum som varer en god stund. Pen lacing. Bra aroma av karamell med hint av sjokolade. Smaken fortsetter i samme gate. Litt syrlig etter hvert. Tørr avslutning.
