McAuslan presents its New World take on the classic IPAs of the 19th-century England. In those days, the beers was brewed extra-strong and generously hopped to help it survive the long journey to India. Inspired by that history and today’s blod American IPAs, we’ve married Cascade and Chinook hops with a subtle blend of malts -anyone who appreciates strong ale will love it. Hop bitterness and malt smoothness: it’s a journey your taste buds will enjoy time and again.

Strong hop aroma; golden orange colour. Medium mouthfeel. Lots of grapefuit with prominent fresh hops on the finish. overall, strong bitterness

Cerveja boa porém a pior que tomei da St Amboise, afinal mesmo que seja uma IPA padrão não esperamos de forma alguma uma cerveja sem aroma e com sabor próximo a uma pale ale. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

My last St-Ambroise for the moment, a slightly better than average IPA for me, a testimony for the quality of this good brewery.

Canette de 473 ml. Couleur blonde trouble avec un mince col blanc. Arôme de houblon et de fleurs. Goût d'agrumes, de fleurs et de houblon. Arrière goût sucré désagréable, mais tout de même bonne.

AssKicker (652) - Strasbourg, FRANCE - AUG 30, 2017
UPDATED: AUG 31, 2017 Couleur ambrée, mousse okay, nez agrumes. En bouche c'est assez rond. Le caramel et les agrumes ressortent en premier surtout le pamplemousse, puis le résineux en retrait, tout comme l'amertume. Un peu light pour de l'IPA, nickel si ça avait été une APA.

Shared 473ml can. Clear gold, foamy white head. Aroma of citrus and malt. Taste citrus, malt, caramel, metallic notes, pine. Bitter finish. Ok.

darbeer75 (985) - Round Rock, Texas, USA - MAY 22, 2017
Aroma: malty with odd notes; Appearance: clear orange pour with thin white head that lingers; Taste: decent balance between malt and hops, but just seems to be lower quality; drinkable though; Palate: medium body with medium finish with some cereal in there; Overall: okay but can’t get over the off notes in the aroma. Wouldn’t get again.

Really enjoyed the taste and the bitter finish it had. Am looking forward to sampling their other types.

Tranquillity (2505) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 17, 2017
Canned. Almost clear orange body, big off white head. The aroma is peach, apples and malt. The taste is sweet and balanced, not overly bitter. Nice one!
