COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
St-Ambroise Pale Ale is the brewerys flagship beer. Introduced in February 1989, it is a hoppy, amber, full-flavoured ale. In The Simon and Schuster Pocket Guide To Beer , beer critic Michael Jackson gave it three stars and described it as: "An outstanding ale... amber-red, clean and appetizing, with a very good hop character, from its bouquet to its long finish. Hoppy, fruity, and tasty all the way through."

Bottle, 341mL. Home. A golden amber beer with a medium off-white head ; medium retention. Herb, roast, light caramel, red berries. Light to medium sweet, light dry bitter refreshing ; light spicy. Light to medium body and texture, average good carbonation, dry fruity caramel finish. Overall, enjoyable !

Canned. Clear brown body, beige head. The aroma is molasses, sweet grass and peach. The taste is balanced and highly fruity. Quite bland but professional.

Bottle from any local stores. I love the taste of that beer. This is my my go-to beer of choice with a light taste (and alcohol), a nice little bitter presence. Nothing fancy, just a great well balanced simple ale.

Pours amber orange with a thin white head. Aroma is carmel malt and bread. Carmel, cereal, and roasted malt flavours with a slight bitter. Not bad.

Aroma is mettalic. Tastes like an English bitter or even an ESB. Some orange peel bitterness. Light and dry. Light cereal caramel malts but mostly a dry bitterness. A bit floral but bitter. Nothing special.

12 oz bottle (probably past its prime) pours a clear amber color with tight off-white head that leaves some lacing. Aroma is full of honey and biscuits, with some toffee and perhaps some peach. Taste is sweet with some bitterness finally coming out in the finish. This is one of the maltiest pale ales Ive tried. Body is medium with soft carbonation and an oily mouthfeel. Not at all what I was expecting, but a pleasant surprise anyway.
