COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
St-Ambroise Pale Ale is the brewerys flagship beer. Introduced in February 1989, it is a hoppy, amber, full-flavoured ale. In The Simon and Schuster Pocket Guide To Beer , beer critic Michael Jackson gave it three stars and described it as: "An outstanding ale... amber-red, clean and appetizing, with a very good hop character, from its bouquet to its long finish. Hoppy, fruity, and tasty all the way through."

Belle couleur cuivre.

Aroma: maltier than expected; some apple juice and a little hand lotion; Appearance: clear amber pour with thin white head that disappears quickly; Taste: starts malty and ends with pleasant hoppy/cereal finish; kind of odd; Palate: light-medium body with medium finish; Overall: okay but not quite working for me.

This pale ale poured a deep amber colour with a white, creamy head. Minimal lacing. Scents include fruit juice, honey and cream. First swig was a little thin with nice malt flavours. Finish was very nice with light hoppiness. Very good! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle, 341mL. Home. A golden amber beer with a medium off-white head ; medium retention. Herb, roast, light caramel, red berries. Light to medium sweet, light dry bitter refreshing ; light spicy. Light to medium body and texture, average good carbonation, dry fruity caramel finish. Overall, enjoyable !

Canned. Clear brown body, beige head. The aroma is molasses, sweet grass and peach. The taste is balanced and highly fruity. Quite bland but professional.

Bottle from any local stores. I love the taste of that beer. This is my my go-to beer of choice with a light taste (and alcohol), a nice little bitter presence. Nothing fancy, just a great well balanced simple ale.

Pours amber orange with a thin white head. Aroma is carmel malt and bread. Carmel, cereal, and roasted malt flavours with a slight bitter. Not bad.

Aroma is mettalic. Tastes like an English bitter or even an ESB. Some orange peel bitterness. Light and dry. Light cereal caramel malts but mostly a dry bitterness. A bit floral but bitter. Nothing special.
