2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Nice yellow copper color, thick creamy head. Little mild flavour. Little fruity and malty too. Medium palate with sweetish finish. Preety OK beer. There’s for sure much better belgian beer.
Clear golden with a dense white head. Medium lacing and modest carbonation. Aroma of hay, bread, flowers and spice. Malt forward taste with a slightly funky and bitter aftertaste Bosbouw (3037) - Gemonde, NETHERLANDS - JUL 1, 2017

Bottle from Carrefour Supermarket, Gent, Belgium. Golden coloured with a thin white head. It has a spicy fruity pear flavour with lemon and citrus followed by a slight spicy fruit and smooth warming finish. Ok. Icedwarf (1883) - Etten-Leur, NETHERLANDS - SEP 25, 2016

Commissioned by Carrefour and bought at a Carrefour supermarket in Bastogne, 75 cl with cork. Very thick, frothy, bubbly, lacing, egg-white head on top of a clear ’old gold’ coloured beer with lively sparkling. ’Cooked’ aroma revealing pasteurization, apart from soggy sugar corn, sweetbread, honey, iron, candied pineapple, apple peel, dry grass, minerals, stewed vegetables, coriander seed, plastic. Sweetish apple- and pineapple-like onset, fizzy carbo (even overcarbonated), ’dull’ sourishness but mostly a caramelly and honeyish sweetness, malty and a bit grainy, smooth, white candi sugar sweetness lingering, metallic accent, some vague grassy hop bitterishness in the end but the sweetishness prevails and the cooked vegetable-like aspect returns retronasally as well as a hint of the eternal coriander. I guess Carrefour needed its own imitation of Leffe Blonde, this is equally uninspired, overly sweet and feels almost equally industrial and ’dead’. Completely redundant and pointless blonde abbey cliché. Ungstrup (38902) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - FEB 14, 2016
A hazy amber beer with a beige head. The aroma has notes of fruits, malt, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, alcohol, and straw, leading to a bitter finish. Rubin77 (2741) - Brussels / Bratislava, SLOVAK REPUBLIC - NOV 19, 2015

2015-05-18 Nice Belgian beer, but not very special. Nice bottle, great looks. Hamirubi (595) - Waarschoot, BELGIUM - JUN 19, 2015
33cl bottle at home. This store brand of the Carrefour chain supermarket is a modest, not complex blonde. The dark orange, even amber coloured, hazy brew has a nice yet volatile white beige foam head. A strong lager hoppyness and maltness welcomes the taster. The taste is light, refreshing, with lots of bread and maybe even grassy notes. It really resembles a - enjoyable, for sure - lager beer. The finish is stronger, sharper, yet short.
