bottled, special
This one-off special brew was brewed, bottled and labelled by hand in a limited run of only 552 bottles, as always, at one time by one bloke. Only the best malt and the finest whole hops are used; no tins of extracts or flavourings, just natural goodness.
This beer, like all St Andrews Brewing Co beers, is brewed with passion to be drunk with passion.

Taking inspirations from one of my favourite songs to brew to, and my baby girl Isla’s favourite song to dance to (Toots And The Maytals ’54-46 That’s My Number’), the 54-46 Series is a rang of limited guest beers brewed with 54% Pale Malt and 46% Wheat. Each beer is single-hopped to allow the full flavours of the hop to shine through.

cgarvieuk (25224) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - SEP 7, 2013
bottle at home ... golden yellow ... big white head .. soft dry peppery hop nose ... soft dry toffee ... light custardy tones ... little thin ... no real balance for me.

jamestulloch (4212) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JUL 10, 2013
Aroma: Orange, peach and mango.

Appearance: Hazy golden body with a large white head that holds well. Average carbonation. Excellent lacing.

Taste: Juicy orange and tangy grapefruit. Chalky wheat with a bitter, slightly peppery finish.

Palate: Medium body with an oily texture that becomes quite sticky. Fizzy carbonation.

Overall: A really tasty single hopped beer. I’d prefer if the malt/wheat balance was a little more on the malt side, but this is a really cracking effort.

mr_h (5718) - Ayr, SCOTLAND - MAY 12, 2013
330ml bottle from Good Spirits Company, Glasgow - straw coloured with a marginal haze, thin foamy white head, banana aroma, no lacing, wheat flavour, sweet, possible hint of banana and pear, high carbonation, dry finish
