medium bodied biscuity oatcakes, digestive biscuits, red berries, pleasing level of carbonation and bitterness, one of the better rye beers
Bottle from Cornelius Beer, Edinburgh. This is a hazy orange-amber beer with a sweet strawberry and tropical fruit flavour, a creamy mouthfeel and zesty red fruit on the finish. Scopey (15704) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 25, 2013
Bottle at home. It pours deep reddish amber with a medium white head. The nose is wood, brown bread, toffee, toast and honey. The taste is toffee, red fruits, tart berry, toast, spice and wood with a dry, oily finish. Medium body, moderate carbonation and sticky mouth-feel. Nothing particularly wrong with it, its just a fairly simple rye ale. OK. allmyvinyl (11020) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - SEP 6, 2013

Flavour is moderate to light heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter with a long duration, sweet malt, caramel, citrus notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat.
Bottle shared at the ChrisO Flags of Many Nations Easter Tasting 2013 - London. Pours lightly foggy red with a light, filmy white head. Some tangy berries on the nose, light dry caramel. Light to medium sweet flavor with bready malts, a bit more caramel. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Modest sticky malt finish, some sugary bread, toffee. Simple but nice. jd543 (428) - SCOTLAND - MAY 29, 2013
Clear red (to-copper) with a thin white head. Aroma is caramel malt, bread. Flavour is moderatley sweet, with a sour-to-salty finish. OK, but promises more on the eyes than it delivers with the finish. madmitch76 (25568) - , Essex, ENGLAND - APR 7, 2013
