Cask; Occasional & bottle conditioned.
Originally brewed as a special to celebrate the 200th anniversary of Nelson’s victory at Trafalgar in 1805. However, production of the bottled version and, occasionally, the cask has continued.
This premium bottle-conditioned ale has been uniquely brewed using our own Cornish Gold malt. Locally grown barley is traditionally malted using a special kilning process which develops a deeper intensity of colour and flavour than ordinary barley malt. Blended with both Styrian Golding and Cascade hops, the result is a deep bronze ale with a delicious rich biscuit flavour and a wonderful spicy aroma.

Color ámbar oscuro. Espuma blanca, poco persistente. Aroma a caramelo, toques a tabaco, tostado. Sabor dulce, caramelo, amargor alto.

2 bottles, clear mahogany, one with more carbonation than the other Malty with a slight caramel and tobacco after taste, it’s bottle conditioned but very clear and no sediment A Mediocre beer, on the good side of mediocre.

Slautar (698) - Gdañsk, POLAND - AUG 25, 2016
W aromacie czuję trochę likerowego alkoholu z nutami ciemnych suszonych owoców. W smaku jakby woda sodowa z saturatora z odrobiną soku z jakiegoś ciemnego owocu. Lekkie i pijalne. Dobrze gasi pragnienie i smakuje lepiej niż woda.

Bottle at home, 22/08/16. Rich chestnut brown with reddish hues topped with a solid beige cap - a good looking beer but lacks the retention to garner a top mark in the appearance stakes. Nose is dates, sticky toffee pudding, fruit loaf, light spice, stewed prunes. Taste comprises toffee, dates, Soreen malt loaf, biscuit, mellow fruits, brown bread. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, drying close with a mellow fruit rinse. Solid ESB.

Bottle, 50 cl, bought at "upper glass", Mannheim. Well-balanced ESB in all aspects. Would definitely have again.

Bottle (from beer gonzo). Pours brownish amber. Aroma is sweet, malty, fruity, caramel. Flavor is sweet and bitter, caramel, fruity, earthy notes. Overall: ok.

suurjuust (3767) - ESTONIA - JUL 8, 2016
UPDATED: JUL 8, 2016 Bottle shared by Mart, thanks! Clear dark brownish copper beer, small white head. Nose is caramel, malt, biscuity notes. Flavor begins somewhat watery, but the middle of the taste has a decent caramel tone to it, finishes malt and watery again, with a soft hop profile.

Tayeth (680) - North Rhine-Westphalia, GERMANY - JUL 5, 2016
Kastanienbraune Farbe, süßlicher, fruchtige Duft. Geschmack leidet recht schwach und wässrig. Noten von Kakao und Karamell und irgendwas scharfes im Hintergrund.

gueuze (973) - - JUL 5, 2016
Rötlich braun, recht klar. Geruch Fruchtkorb, leicht röstig. Geschmack verbrannt, leich Kakao. Stark karbonisiert. Leicht wässrig.

Vladivostok (491) - Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - JUL 3, 2016
Naturally conditioned bottle. Medium-dark, malty beer. Rather a sweeter and more caramely maltiness than most of St. Austell’s bitter type ales which I found very pleasant. Would like to try on draught.
