My absolute favourite cask beer. Full of flavour without any nasty aftertaste. Easy to drink, not too gassy, looks and smells great.
Not widely available even in the South West of England. The bottled version is almost as good and is sold in Sainsburys, my local supermarket. marc1013 (1) - Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - APR 16, 2011 does not count

A pale brown ale with a malt and fruity Oregon hop. Leaving a hoppy bitterness in the mouth, jerryballoono (32) - Urgup, TURKEY - DEC 9, 2007
Pint cask,Carbeile Inn, Torpoint, Cornwall
Orange coloured bitter with large lasting white head, good malt balence with bitter aftertaste. Citrus aroma. This was probably the best kept pint of real ale I had during my month in England earlier this year - I make no apologies for the high score it deservedly got. On cask at Tennents Bar, Glasgow, 15/08/2014. Amber, slightly hazy (which I don’t mind), thick white head through use of sparkler, good lacing. Nice aroma of sugared grapefruit, with some yeastiness. Taste of sultanas and glace cherries, with grapefruit hoppiness; full-bodied. This ale is a favourite of mine, and on this occasion was exceptional.

Light and resfreshing, enoyable taste. Obviously kept well, easy to drink lots of ! Michael_M (7) - Falmouth, Cornwall, ENGLAND - JUN 5, 2011 does not count
Citrus and malt come through, I actually prefer the bottles because they have more fizz - probably because I have only gone over to ’real ale’ from lager recently. Great beer all the same. In lots of the local pubs here as one can imagine. Lee_Adams (4) - - SEP 11, 2013 does not count
A local favorite in my neck of the woods. There are few simpler pleasures in life greater than a pint of well kept Doom Bar on a balmy Autumn night under the stars. haddonsman (1234) - Derby, Derbyshire, ENGLAND - MAY 25, 2004

Oh, yes! Murkey amber body, lovely white head with good lacing, smells citrusy, tastes fruity/caramelly, hints at a bitter finish. Very well rounded, even my wife liked it (she normally says ’umm, it tastes of beer’. But she’s a cider drinker, so what does she know?!
Excellent bitter, would love to find somewhere north of the West Country that keeps this on cask.
The fact that the landlord was retiring so all the beer was FREE tonight in no way influences this rating. Though, after six pints of it, it’s taken me 15 minutes to write this review....
