Nische (2738) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - JAN 30, 2018
Backlog. Deep chestnut brown with beige head. Malty and a bit boozy with nuts, caramel, raisins and vanilla. Spices coming towards the end. Big, bold and very nice to drink.

Brown color with a medium off white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Baked bread, caramel, nuts, wood, calvados, lighter alcohol.

22-09-17 // pour from 750ml bottle at Petit Belge, Wiesbaden. Brownish beer, small head. Heavy boozy malt sweetness, some caramel, some dried fruits along with oak Wood caracter. Drinking good.

Piana obfita, średnio trwała, pozostaje w postaci chmurki. Barwa miedziana, dość klarowna. W aromacie głównie nuty calvadosu, jabłek, cydru, do tego suszone owoce, miód i zioła. W smaku półsłodkie, dojrzałe jabłka, rodzynki, figi, karmel, miód, melasa, kandyzowane morele, czerwony pieprz... Jednym słowem spore bogactwo. Goryczka ziołowo migdałowa, nieduża. W aftertejsie wosk pszczeli i toffi. Lekkie rozgrzewanie alkoholowe, średnie do wysokiego, drobne wysycenie, niezbyt gęste w odbiorze.
Paradoks, bo zabrakło mi tu troszkę pełni i słodyczy z wersji nieleżakowanej, która tam mi nieco przeszkadzała ;)

How the heck haven't I rated this? Bottle thanks to Todd. Pours a dark copper orange hue with a large white head. A big fruity spicy yeast nose. Big spices and yeast, oak, clove, some darker fruit. Huge flavors, soft palate, very smooth. Lovely.

Lore (3035) - Budapest, HUNGARY - SEP 15, 2017
Hazy brown colour, moderate sized creamy beige-ish off-white head; aroma of a bit too intensive yeast and alcohol, whisky, cognac notes, apple, biscuit, dried figs, cloves maybe walnut, too; taste of a bit burnt plum jam, raisins, burnt sugar notes, whisky, herbal liqueur bitterness and spicy alcohol; amazing 'beer' ! Many thanks for sharing, my friend, kapusil!

0.75l bottle. Hazy dark brown body with a beige head and floating sediment. Wood and oak comes first in the aroma, followed by cloves, toast, yeast, dark sugar and figs. Taste of plums, raisins, toast, oak, bourbon and some medicinal hops. Interesting that I would have thought that it was aged in bourbon barrels than in calvados. The taste is flawless, but the aroma is a bit too boozy. I like the non-oaked version too. This one is not necessarily better, but different. Like the other one this is awesome too.

Bottle Amy bought a couple of years ago at Hop City Birmingham. Honestly forgot about it. First beer for the rest of my life and celebrating having two phones. Chestnut brown color with a foamy tan head. The aroma is dark roasted malt and caramel plus Belgian yeast. Classic quad taste with a slightly boozy hit. As it warms, the Calvados really come to the front. Wish I could try them side-by-side but this seems slightly sweeter.

Beige creamy head left a good cover on an opaque, rustic, finely carbonated body. Malt, cream & dark fruits aroma. You can definitely smell the Calvados. Medium to full bodied. Big & creamy on the palate with a highly effervescent, tingly back. Very malt forward tastes with dark fruits, apple, demerara & hints of vanilla.
