UPDATED: DEC 19, 2007 I’ve been fortunate to have this beer both on draft and in bottle. What a beautiful beer. Blows some of the other 6 Trappist beers out of the water. I taste a hint of chocolate in this fine beer. Overall, a damn good beer. nondeduvel (2) - Belgium, BELGIUM - DEC 18, 2007 does not count
0.33 cl bottle. excellent beer with a strong complex aroma and a rich & fruity taste that devellops and gets better as it warms. it sometimes takes me more than 1.5 hour to drink this as every little sip fills your mouth with joy. it’s my favourite beer, i think i prefer this one over the westvleteren. don’t serve too cold and off course drink the yiest sepperately!!! icefires (6) - Spring, Texas, USA - DEC 18, 2007 does not count
I have been drinking Belgian beers exclusively for two years (about $75 per week).
This is still my favorite (even better than Westvleteren Abt 12) kodybrannon (3) - Texas, USA - JAN 23, 2008 does not count
Drinking this beer was like drinking some special nectar sent from the heavens above. It poured a very dark brown color with a thick tan head. The smell was kind of fruity and sweet. But the taste was out of this world. This was my first belgian beer, and I can say I haven’t found one better. Hands (1) - Cadier en Keer, NETHERLANDS - MAR 16, 2008 does not count

Best beer in the world! Full flavor which gets more pronounced as the beer warms up. orelandbeer (2) - USA - FEB 22, 2009 does not count
This beer is the best beer on the entire planet! I wish it was cheaper to buy. BillyMidnight (41) - Alberta, CANADA - MAR 3, 2009
The Platonic form of a perfect beer. Other beers can be judged as "good" or "bad" by the extent to which they resemble this one. The flavours separate in your mouth, while the froth stirs up the sediment, creating the impression that tiny microscopic monks are growing the ingredients on your tongue. cr0n0s (3) - , NETHERLANDS - MAR 18, 2009 does not count
Pours a very nice brown with a cream-like colored head, with wonderful staying power. Large smell of malts, and a few other things I can’t put my finger on. First taste on this was so good, I started wondering why I have not been drinking more quad. Just simply amazing. Soft on the mouth feel, and goes down nice and smooth. A touch of sweetness at the end makes this brew just that much better. Outstanding brew. Simply outstanding. teamrassas (26) - USA - APR 5, 2009
Bottle, dark brown black pour into belgian tulip glass. Nice toffee flavor mixed with hints of rum-like fruit, layered with flavor. This beer is not too heavy and opened up nicely.
