COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Extra 4 is a classic Belgian “Single” style, light golden in color, full of flavor and character and brewed with more hops and bitterness in comparison to the other well known St Bernardus abbey ales. Extra 4 will be brewed with high fermentation and bottled conditioned with an ABV of 4.8%. Extra 4 will be a unique, tasty and refreshing spring and summer quencher with a lower alcohol content than such other popular St Bernardus products as Abt 12, Tripel and Prior 8.

If you're into the trendy "session" beers (aka weak beer not worth the calories), and want a descent abbey session, then pick some up. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

0,33l bottle. Hazy yellow colour with lacing small white head. Aroma: Yeasty sweet matured cheese/dough notes with soft floral tones. Taste: Has a malty start with tarty tones with a soft but significent bitter mouthfeel. Well balanced, the malts, the yeast and the hops are equally there. Has a buttery/silky texture. Medium body with medium carbonation. Medium lasting sourish finish.

Solid Belgian ale, conservative characteristics of nose, taste. Very drinkable. Thanks for hooking me up, Phil B.

Lichte body. Goede koolzuurprikkel. Afdronk: licht bitter, citrus. Fris zomers biertje.

Aroma: wheat, fruity, grapefruit. Taste wheat and grapefruit again with a good bitter, slightly dry finish. Tasty, not too watery. Medium body. Very nice and refreshing.

Interesting beer, light, refreshing, some other different levels of honey and citrus notes. The only bad thing that it wasn’t warm enough outside when I was trying it.
