COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Unique Belgian beer, top fermented and with bottle conditioning. This Easterbeer is a balanced equilibrium between sweet and bitter, between body and freshness. It has a malty and fruity nose with a thick, round froth. It is brewed in the rich tradition of the St. Bernardus Brewery, using only the very best malts, hops, and sugars. Our own yeast and the specific water of the brewery give our beers depth and strength. This Easterbeer lives up to our credo: St. Bernardus, bringing heavenly nectar within reach.

One of my favorite styles, but they didn’t get this one right. I did like the blend of caramel, bread, dark fruit and candy, but ti was just little simple...missing something.

Bottle @ home, special thanks to Rene’s wife for picking this up 18 months ago. Fairly clear, reddish orange appearance with a tiny, off-white head that dissipates quickly. Strong candy sugar, rich cherry/berry fruity/estery, caramel aroma. Fairly balanced yet sweet fruity, lightly herbal, raspberry/cherry/plum, somewhat spicy flavor. Pretty good beer.

Draft in a snifter. Deep amber poor, great retention. Caramel, with some dried fruit. Taste is much the same as nose. Meduim body. Sweet finish. It’s decent. Not a huge fan.

Bottle. High creamy and lasting off-white head. Hazy dark brown body. Pretty sweet caramel fruit roasted malt aroma. Flavor likewise astonishingly sweet with just a hint of bitterness. Fruit and caramel is the main characteristics. Low carbonation. Long sweet aftertaste. Alcohol level beautifully hidden by the sweetness of the beer.
