Kind of a weird brew. Lots of bready/biscuit flavors, with a an odd sweetness similar to brown sugar, some slight citric fruitiness, brett like basement funk, and an herbal hop note towards the finish. A bit unbalanced, and a bit too sweet for my taste. Not bad, just not for me.

330ml bottle (8%) at home on 18 Aug 2017 (bb 18 Aug 2017), present from JohnRMurdoch: banana, citrus aroma, straw with a thin bubbly off-white head, fruity, banana, orange, sweet, fair bit of fizz.

Nice hazy light amber coloured. Robust head that stays pretty long. The smell is citric. Taste is complex. Citric, nice bitterness, little sweetness but not exaggerated. Complex, but in balance. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from Fountainhall Wines. Pours clear amber with fluffy white head and lots of bubbles in the glass. Very nice. The nose has lots of spice then a syrupy sweet candy before a smooth toffee softens and calms things down. The flavours are big with toffee then a clear hay-like dry spice takes over before a mild floral earth finish. It’s full bodied with a lively sharp sparkle which ticks all my boxes when it comes to the Tripel. This is a properly spicy tripel. Loads of smooth toffee sweetness provides the required balance. Very nice.

Light floral aroma, citrus, earthy grains and toffee, pours a murky orange with light particles and has a large white creamy head, flavours of sweet malts and sour citrus fruits, cask wood characteristics with a light spice, a hearty meal on a cold night, warms from the toes.

24/06/2017 - 33cl bottle @ Wout’s place, Melden. Hazy yellow with yeast flakes floating by, big white head. Nose is sweet malts, fruity, spices, same for taste. Not bad but I prefer them a tad less sweet and more refreshing.

0.33 l bottle from local ’Trink & Spare’, best before August 2018, almost a year old. Clear, golden yellow with a very large, extremely dense, stable, white head. Sweetish, moderately yeasty-spicy, slightly floral and quite fruity aroma of banana, vanilla, lemon zest, some clove and a touch of gooseberry. Moderately sweet, fairly yeasty-spicy, floral and slightly fruity taste of banana, lots of vanilla, lemon zest, clove, honey and some hay, followed by a medium long, slightly bitter, rather yeasty-spicy, a bit dry and even a little sourish finish. Medium body, fairly effervescent mouthfeel, lively carbonation. Very well-balanced and tasty Tripel, not too sweet and with a refreshing, hoppy touch. Good!

Delicious tripel. Fruity, with soft esters, some Belgian spice and clove. They know their business.

330 mL bottle shared by ebone1988 for this fucking book. The pour is a hazy golden yellow color. This is a lot foggier than I would ever expect a tripel to be. There is an off white head and a pretty good amount of lace as it falls. The aroma is full of banana and clove. There is a strong yeastiness and a light funk with a touch of tartness on the nose. It’s got a very tripel thing happening. The flavor is a little better and more balanced. The banana and clove are pretty hard to get past, especially when backed up by the yeast. The subtleties slowly come in with a light fruitiness, a hint of dustiness and a good balance. The mouth feel is light and clean with a bright carbonation and a lingeringly clove and fruit on the finish. This is further proof that tripels aren’t my jam, at all. 6 3 6 4 13

Bottle from Merchants. Bottle shared with koleminer20, for the book. Aroma is fruity, very yeasty, slight clove, dry, straw, wheat. Appearance is hazy, golden, off white head. Taste is slightly tart, banana, clove, yeast, dry, barnyard, fruity and good. Mouthfeel is medium body, light crisp carbonation, fruity dry clove aftertaste. Overall, enjoyable for the style.
