Orangey clear pour with a huge foam head. Slightly skunked. Aroma of banana & bubblegum, yeast some acetate. After working through a layer of delicious boozy foam I was able to get a whiff. Flavor of yeasty honey sweetness. The alcohol is sharp through and though. Also there’s some buttery/butterscotch flavor. Complex, but overpowering. I didn’t get much in the way of bitterness or sourness. Good mid carb.

Bill Becker (1271) - Casper, Wyoming, USA - OCT 17, 2017
From Oct 2006 Poured from caged and corked 750ml bottle(near room temp) a clear, at first... then turns cloudy due to the sediment, light gold with a large head of foam with lots of lacing. After a few minutes, the foam shrinks to a fine but solid layer. The smell is lemony and yeasty and there's also some spice in the nose. The taste first hits me with some malty sweetness(more of a candy sugar sweetness), followed closely by lemon citrus and a touch of clove. The more I sip on it, the more I notice how well balanced and smooth drinking this brew is..oh, and there's also a touch of sourness near and through the finish which adds to my enjoyment. Further in to the bottle, the bitterness from the hops intensifies, nay, in fact, *all* the flavours I noted before increase in intensity making for a much more complex Tripel than the first glassful "promised". Yummy! Ahhh..and the nice warming effect in the tummy is certainly more than welcome on this cool, crisp Autumn day in Casper. Bottom line: IMHO, this is certainly a world class Tripel. I think it is a *must try* for anyone who claims to be a lover of Belgian Ales!

Aromă cu malț, drojdii, fructe galbene fermentate, puține citrice, pireu de mere ușor înăcrit. Gust ușor, păcut, malț dulce, fructe galbene ușor fermentate, ceva citrice coapte, puține drojdii belgiene, ușoară amăreală pe fundal. Bună și ușoară.

UPDATED: OCT 7, 2017 Boa cerveja. Pouca espuma para categoria. Agrada a paladar, mas não é o top deste cervejaria.

W aromacie czuć owocowo-przyprawowy charakter wraz tostową słodowością. dość. Dobry balans między goryczką i słodowością. alkohol dobrze ukryty. Wysycenie dość wysokie. W smaku jasne owoce w tle. Półwytrawne w tle kwaskowate

zoet zurig aroma bloemig grassig.

I drank it without paying great attention because I thought I had already rated it. So I need to drink it consciously next time. It was delicious but I much prefer the st. Bernardus quad ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Fles thuis geprobeerd.

Backlog, Bottle. Pours a cloudy golden color with medium off white head. Active Carbonation. Smell and flavor of apples, pear, plum, spice, pepper, toast, and grain. Malty and warming in the finish like most Belgians. Medium bodied.
