COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Complex flavors of orange peel, coriander and subtle spice take this Belgian-Style wheat ale to new heights. This unfiltered Ale soars above the rest with a uniquely crisp taste and glides in gently for an exceptionally smooth finish. Our blue ribbon Belgian White displays a clean, crisp, full-bodied flavor for all to enjoy. This Ale’s best co-pilot is a tall frosty glass, garnished with an orange slice.

Brewed for Whole Foods Market.

St. Cloud Belgian White has a distinct, yet subtle hint of spices that compliment the taste. It's recommended to serve with an orange slice however I enjoyed it better without. A frosted glass is a must. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

June 8th, 2012 - St. Cloud’s Witbier is the first beer I enjoyed to celebrate the opening of Torrey Pints at the Whole Foods near my little subsidized purgatorial prison next to campus. A helpful employee of the place (who, apparently, cannot accept gratuity) handed me a dark yellow beer, still caught in a slowing circling motion, and exercising its momentum on the thick, velvety head. The aroma has a sight touch of lemoncello, some of the sweet grain flavor of corn tortilla, and is otherwise quite quiet. The flavor is more pronounced, introducing itself with a heavy dose of vanilla, and a squishy, fuzzy palate. The aftertaste is the more familiar witbier flavors, including lemon peel and the acerbic freshness of lemon juice. Overall, this seems like a nice substitute for hoegaarden when one’s wallet is looking a little anemic.

Nice looking tallboy. Frothy pour with a fluffy white head and a hazy, honey gold brew. Tangy fruit aroma. Strong cooked orange flavor, light spice, light diacetyl, very light vinegar, bitterness is more from spice than hops. Not sweet. Lightish body, tangy peel-bitter finish. A slight notch below Blue Moon or Shock Top on balance, but not terrible. Whole Foods, Tallahassee.

Bottle. Lemony wheat malt aroma. Hazy straw gold with a moderate white head. Lemon-orange and wheat malt flavor, faintly spicy tingle in the finish. Light body, spritzy carbonation. Non-offensive, but not all that great either.

ROGUE (2215) - Lewes, Delaware, USA - SEP 29, 2013
12oz bottle. Pours a slightly hazy golden with a thick and fluffy white head. Aroma is heavy on the citrus and coriander, zesty, spicy, sweet and clean. Taste is lemon citrus, grains, faint hops and a sweetness in the finish. Thin bodied, medium carbonation.

Hazy yellow with a short, white head. Grainy, lemon aroma. Taste is grainy, weak citrus.... Dismal..... Tastes old and stale.

Bottle. Lactic lemon and stale wheat malt aroma. Lightly hazy yellow with moderate head. Very light lemon and wheat malt aroma. Bland, watery body. Wouldn’t even be a decent wheat ale.

Bottle. Hazy amber beer with a whitish head. Toasted malt aroma with light spice. Wheat and spice flavor with toasted malt and light lemon. Medium bodied. Toasted malt and wheat lingers with light spice and light earthiness.
